  1. Can think of worse ways to go.. Imagine those pendulant breasts giving you black eyes...
  2. Yep. Sounds like PCC will run a mile if pressed on this loan request. Penny Mordaunt can press against me any time tho'
  3. Cheeky Kiwis have booted us off the top of the rowing medals table.
  4. Ok, pretty open-and-shut case that they have decided to ignore. Must happen often.
  5. I just tested a couple of Austrians in my office. They would have answered the question the same - they have no idea what "pulling a fast one" means.
  6. Shes a ginge with a typical ginge temper. She put Ross Kemp (he of the part-time Easter, part-time SAS fame) in hospital, FFS. Rupert Lowe has the ability to be charming when it suits him too...
  7. That sort of crap happens all the time nowadays. Nissan ship sub-assemblies of their cars to Sunderland, assemble the cars then ship them back to Japan for sale. Not heard about food doing that sort of thing before, though.
  8. Yes, maybe they have considered the context. Some reference has been made by Team GB about comments being "lost in translation"
  9. Well done Alan. Came through for bronze.
  10. Perhaps because it is indeed commonplace and a blind eye turned (as confirmed by this statement) ? I would like to know who is doing the nudging. It must be a Yank or a Jap.
  11. You were complaining about the bonuses. And now I hear on here that there are some complaints about the billeting on HMS Ocean. You and TDD need to set in there, set the right example to those jessies. They are obviously not TDD and VK standard of soldiership.
  12. Well, I know there are no appeals, so it makes sense there is no direct formal protests. But someone is bringing this and Pendletons illegal changeover to the officials attention. Why have they just made some sort of statement about Hindes ? Someone has asked the question or pointed it out.
  13. Oh, just great. There is now a stink wafting out of the velodrome about the yesterday's men's Team Sprint result too.. Is it me, or has the rest of the cycling world got Team GB in its cross-hairs ? They know we are miles ahead in cycling, so are looking for every single nuance to protest. Yes, Hindes allegedly deliberate crash sounds a bit unsporting, but not being a close follower of track cycling I would expect it happens reasonably often.
  14. Up to 4th in the table.
  15. 4th attempt. Bless her.
  16. Have to say, if I had been in the UK and been given one choice of ticket, it would clearly have been the rowing regatta.
  17. Bronze for Nash & Satch. Sounds like a Nickelodeon cartoon series...
  18. Yep. Get to the start line of the season they might (7 days, tick-tock), but they arent going to finish it. Attendance will plummet to 3 figures onces the kids start getting hammeered week-in, week-out, then the financials are screwed up again. Best that the FL really do not let this farce commence, otherwise there will be all sorts of arguments when their results are expunged.
  19. Ships flying the British flag (red ensign ?) now banned from entering ports in state of Buenos Aries. Really, really pathetic prissy behaviour. Sounds like a trade embargo to me. They need to remember they export more to us than they import..
  20. Erm are you complaining, VW ???? I thought you army types dont complain about anything, "you just get on with it" ?
  21. An intensely dislikeable woman.
  22. Considering the climate they live in (bloody hot summers, bloody cold winters), Austrians have no physical robustness against temperature, wind or humidity whatsoever. When its cold they put 20 layers on, when its hot they prance around naked and still whine. And dont get me started on when there is a bit of breeze (even if just from slightly hard-blowin car air-conditioning), and the immediate outbreak of severe sort throats. If those Austrian beach volleyballers hadnt worn t-shirts last night, they'd be blocking up NHS hospital beds today with chronic pneumonia. I remember once in late spring sat with my wife at an outside cafe, and every time the sun went behind a cloud, she whined and put her cardigan on, and as soon as the sun came out again she whined and took it off. F**king pathetic. They dont get it when my son comes to early spring football training wearing shorts, FFS.
  23. So Kelvin is first choice still, then. Interesting that he still clearly sees a role for Puncheon.
  24. Well done Gemma. Well done you shaag-piece-on-a-bike
  25. Come on Gemma !!
