  1. All of youse who wrote "Those in Peril on The Sea" - do you mean Eternal Father, Strong to Save ?
  2. Jerusalem Eternal Father, Strong to Save All Things Bright and Beautiful Abide with Me The Lord is My Shepherd wow, tingles up ths spine just listing them.
  3. I am a Christian and Britian is a Christian country, despite what people like Richard Dawkins, pap, and presumably Verbal think.
  4. Blur, New Order and The Specials. All the day after my birthday. Know what I am asking the missus for my pressie. Only one bit of "Confusion". The Sun reckon Hooky is playing. I reckon that's b*ll*cks.
  5. You do your Hawaiian for Watford, but it has to be Samurai warriors for Boro.....
  6. Because it brings us down to their petty, insecure, chip-on-shoulder level. We are the better half of Hampshire, and we do things differently.
  7. The credit rating is hugely important. If it goes down, Government borrowing costs more (the UK governement has to pay more interest). That means all its financial planning and budgeting, already under massive stress to stay in-plan, goes further askew. It seems to be a reasonable principle the coallition is arguing, that in as far as they can control such matters, their budget for reducing national debt is dependent on their spending plans and retaining the AAA credit rating. I am of the opinion, although I am no fan of the coallition, that everything that can be done, is being done. So I still trust it - just about. Though if I were Cameron and Osbourne, I wouldnt turn my back on Clegg, Hughes, Cable and Huhne.
  8. This thread is a work of pure genius.
  9. The Tories do, not sure the LibDems do... BTW, as much as I am sure you are wetting yourself in excitement, its patently obvious that the UKs credit rating is not completely under the control of the UK Government. The Coallition can do all the right things and make all the right noises for S & P and Moody's, but if the credit rating for France, taking an example of a country which has borrowed a lot from UK banks, slips much more, it could pull down the UK's rating by association.
  10. Right, so you are willing to give China "the benefit of the doubt" because in YOUR opinion their length of crimes is less than the Americans. Rightyho, how splendidly naiive....
  11. I was talking about the American government response. They dont have to condone, condemn OR actively support. They can just saying nothing and let Bibi and Co. get on with it.
  12. Oh, yaawwwwnnnn............
  13. I was still living in the UK, but I was watching on Sky. I would easily describe that day as THE worst of my football-following life, even worse than the aftermath of the Manyoo game on the last day itself (losing against Villa a couple of weeks before the end, and drawing against Boro on Saggy Chops's home debut were also worse than the final confirmation against Manyoo). But that doesnt mean I think we should be banging on about them the whole time. Save it all up and give them f**king hell in April, if they are still around, it might be the last chance we get to do it in generations and it therefore deserves the full monty..
  14. This all makes fascinating reading. Me, I am trying to take each match as it goes, but recognising that apart from Reading our home run-in looks fairly light. Away from home, we have 3 toughies - Blakcpool, Hull and Boro. Teams which worry me most are Birmingham, Reading and WHU.
  15. Indeed, the obsession with Pompey is f**king pathetic. And it lets them know that we are still smarting about that 4-1 hammering during the relegation season. We should be focused on our position and our accomplishments, and the "anti" banter should be all about who we are playing.
  16. Your conclusion, or that of a lefty BBC correspondent ? What a load of cr*p. They could just take no official position on it all.
  17. What a load of anti American (-led West) drivel. No-one could accuse you of being Wetern-centric; Western-phobic more like. How unfortunate that you abuse the freedom that would be denied to you under your Chinese heroes. I for one would rather live under the shadow of America economic might than Chinese economic might, and am delighted that the US seem determined to retain their world power standing and wont roll over and give up like the UK did. If you really are trying to insinuate that China usurping Amercia as the main economic influence in our lives is a good thing, then you really are as clueless as your demented meanderings demonstrate. As if China would be any less of a bully than the US is (according to you). After all, it just vetoed a genuine attempt in the UN to stop the genocide and atrocities going on in Syria in order to stick one up at the US and to support its economic strategies.
  18. Yep. Couldnt give a flying f*ck about the "rivalry". Football is healthier if sh*t like that is exterminated.
  19. Completely concur about Bristol City. Hateful bunch of morons Also agree about Forest too. Although they broke my heart in 1979, I've always respected their punching well above their weight in the 70s and 80s under the greatest manager England never had. Skates (though prefer them liquidated), Bristol City, Derby and Peterborough as reserve in case the blue cr*p are liquidated.
  20. A truly wonderful weekend to be a Saints fan. Only slight cloud is the substitutions of Jos and Billy. Hope they are OK. Back to the top...
  21. Why is the BBC refusing to deduct Pompey's 10 points ?
  22. Just came online. Seen where we are, definitely need a second goal. Nervous until then. Surprised at the early subs. Are Jos and Billy OK ?
