  1. F**k me, you are such a typical left-wing unpleasant little snob.
  2. I dont know why any of you bother responding to the anti-establishment Trotskyite bigot. My ignore list extends to one name - his.
  3. Indeed. Its another load of Verbal b*ll*cks.
  4. hehehehehe
  5. If they go up, we dont, and Rickie is really preparing himself for the Premiership as is clear in the Echo today, it might well happen. He's not getting any younger.
  6. See, now I think along these lines, I have to say (therefore I hope you arent being sarcastic). Only I must be worse than even you, because when I try to answer my own OP, I actually think we need to survive in the PL at the end of our first season up for me to really achieve closure, because then we really will be back where we were.
  7. This is a pretty interesting post. Might explain a few things. Its given me something to think about. I just think its hard for me to put the past of utter incomptence, complacency and arrogance behind me until the damage it caused has been repaired. (EDIT: I went through the on-line papers this morning and struggled to find a decent report of Saints beating Watford anywhere, whereas all the PL games were covered) I do however dispute the argument that we might have got relegated anyway. We had survived the change in football and stayed at the top for 27 years, there was no reason we couldnt adapt further and maintained our position. We were relegated because of a sequence of screw-ups in appointing a decent manager, and everything else followed on from it. Yes, it might have been a house of cards, but its collapse was self-inflicted.
  8. might have done without the mop head.
  9. I'm very pleased for you. In my opinion, our standing in English football is not back where it was yet. I personally dont care for the mercenary and business mentality of the Premier League, but sadly it still represents the elite of English football. We were one of the founder members, and were a stable yet disruptive member of the top level for over a quarter of a century. It rankles that we lost that, so although the football is making us smile again and the club looks forward without all the egos of the recent past, for me the damage has not yet been made good.
  10. When do you lot think we will achieve final closure on the p*ss poor rank bloody awful management of SFC in the years 2004-2009 ? Getting promoted this year, or getting promoted this year and staying up next year, to prove its not just a flash-in-the-pan and the club is on a sustainable track ?
  11. Give it a rest. We stand on the cusp of a fantastic double-promotion; some people can all cocky, presumptuous and dismissive if they want, but I think you will find most normal human beings are bound to be a little anxious that nothing comes along and derails to expected conclusion.
  12. Hmm. If Lallana's was completely "nothing to worry about" he wouldnt have been subbed so promptly after going down at 1-0, I think. There must be a minor concern about it, otherwise NA wouldnt have risked the result of the game. As for Rickie's, well I hope the "not injured" is correct. I cannot for the life of me suss out why NA didnt withdraw him after getting his hat-trick, considering he got as bit of a wallop earlier in the game. We still have 13 games, and need to protect our key resources as much as possible.
  13. Chuffed with the results. Looking a 3 horse race at the moment. Reading game looks massive. Worried a bit about the injuries.
  14. Adkins has seriously dropped the ball here.
  15. Really ? Our game on 14th April may be a title decider.
  16. Well done Rickie. NA, take the fooker off. He's earned his crust for the week.
  17. He was a physio, I think its safe to say he knows what he's doing.
  18. If it goes to the wire, I might not even know about it for a few days, I am due to have surgery around that time.
  19. Our offical general company bonus scheme has been modified to remove individual business unit targets; we win or lose together. I cant confirm that certain individuals dont get personal incentive schemes, no...
  20. Have to agree.
  21. Can never figure out how a company can pay out bonuses if a loss is made. My company dont. This years bonus pot at Lloyds TSB is over 10% of the loss.
  22. Which is bizarre considering it sounds like the tune emanating from a cheap plastic toy made in China. I love the French national anthem too. It even rouses me as an Englishman, and sounds great in Escape to Victory, though I do wonder what the French have to be so proud about historically.
  23. Bit of a backhanded compliment for you on KUMB though.
  24. My understanding too. However, I am still left pondering why its been rescinded. As has been said West Ham appear frequently to be above the law.
