Considering how the results of games so often change due to goals just either side of half-time, and in the last few minutes, I've never understood this activity. Especially considering how expensive games are. You could get 10 pints for the price your entry, if you love beer so much. And sitting in traffic queues with a warm glow if we've won, feeling of "meh" or annoyance if we've drawn, and intense pain if we've lost, is part of the football fan experience.
