  1. 3-1 to Saints.
  2. Cortese has made it plainly clear he wants to disassociate the club from the personalities of the past, some of which have served the club well but can clearly be distracting, some of which have had a destructive effect. Its his club to run, his way, his rules, and he wants to be judged on the RESULTS. The form of this judgment will clearly be attendance figures and hence revenue, alongside promotion. So far it looks good, we are in the top six, with games in hand and have been 2nd and auto promotion spot a few times (something that never happened with Burley or Pardew) I have absolutely no problem with that. STFU and let him get on with it. If he tore down Ted's statue, the time would be right for questioning his attitude towards the club's history.
  3. This thread is hillarious. I point out that fans have the right to be p*ssed at the players for having let a 2 goal lead slip twice (which they have), and the usual suspects freak out with their abuse. Apparently their idea of supporting a team is trying to turn the other cheek to, make weak excuses for, or trying to spin the positives out of every single thing that happens. Sorry, dont buy it, fans should be able to be coldly analytical and critical when the situation requires it. They also seem to forget that on this particular occasion, Adkins apparently was completely unamused with what happened, in the post-match interview. There are some people in these parts in desperate need of help.....
  4. How refereshing that we have such a straightforward and focused chairman.
  5. This is just the latest round of Cortese vs. MLT(Pinnacle), in my mind. Pity such an important occasion for the club is caught in the cross-fire.
  6. He's young, FFS. Central defenders are grown, not made, and dont reach their peak until 30+
  7. Your post would have been more interesting if you had commented more on the game, and less on abusing fellow posters. We are all entitled to an opinion.
  8. Let's anaylse your forecasting then.... "The squad is strong enough for promotion"
  9. I dont recall a single person on here saying any of that. A few questions about Adkins tactics and subs, perhaps. People willing to see the negative in everything Cortese does, definitiely. But never heard him called useless. People calling the club cr*p ? Never. We are all Saints fans. Never ceases to amaze me the lack of subtlety (or maturity) on here, where questioning something that has happened to the team means you hate everything SFC or are a WUM.
  10. We wont win against Swindon or Colchester.
  11. Lets get a few things straight. I said we would lose the next two games if Manyoo thumped us. They didnt. At the end of the game I said, QUITE CLEARLY, that the team would have their peckers up. Yes, at 2-2 I thought we would lose. We did lose - 2 points. We were ahead by two goals TWICE, FFS.
  12. Thanks for the timely reminder of the complete lack of ambition and utter wishy-washyness inherent in a proportion of our fan base. The type that go home with a smile on their face when the team turns up, knocks the ball to each other in a couple of strings of passes more than 3 long, and when the team comes over to their section to clap the support at the end...
  13. Thisthisthisthisthis x 1000. I dont care where a new owner comes from, but if he changes the plan from what we are doing now, I am not interested. Since everyone wants an instant return on their investment, we know that wont be the case. The Liebherr's are a very rare type of owner. Your best post ever. When the people who own the likes of Chelsea and ManCity get bored and move on those clubs will DIE from the debt levels they will quickly incurr once the money stops and from the self-destruction of the fan base with impossible expectations to fulfill. I like the route NC and the Liebherrs have plotted for us and have continued since MLs sad departure. The thing I dont like is that the "plan" was deralied last season and risks being derailed this season by a couple of suspect inidividuals within the club giving intermittent contribution.
  14. Why is it a good thing ? You want the club to be some rich Arab's plaything ? Personally, I think we have ideal owners, a rich European family, and want to see it stay like that.
  15. You know what ? I couldnt give a f**k what you think of my opinion. You can gush as much as you want over the sporting spectacle, the fact is that on a critical round of matches we slipped back against the competing teams for promotion, having led the match by 2 goals twice.
  16. I reckon people have every right to be p*ssed at the players for losing a 2-goal lead. Twice...
  17. Think I'll wait to see what the manager decides, thanks all the same.
  18. This.
  19. We definitely need to review our goalkeeping options for next season. But dropping Kelvin for Bart, when Bart has played so little first team stuff in recent years and has never played in a run of games so critical to the club, is a big, big, gamble. I find it unfortunate that Kelvin's f**k ups today and against Tranmere didnt happen during December or early in the transfer window, when NA might have been more inclined to do something about it.
  20. So you think not being able to hold on to a 2 goal lead twice is not a source of concern ? Blimey, those specs are very rose-tinted today...
  21. Whatever makes you feel better tonight. Think about the anger management suggestion though.........
  22. Then we wont be promoted.
  23. A 2-goal lead lost. Twice. That's poor. Couldnt follow the game, so dont know the reason for each goal, but NA needs to look at the back 5, it seems. Huddersfield & Charlton in the driving seat for 2nd place.
