This stuff about Lambert is worrying. However, if he starts thumping them in for the Geordies, we know he had an attitude problem like Puncheon. Damn, another season with no promotion due to Pardew.
-
Isnt Puncheon p*ssing off then ? I thought half the PL were interested in him.
-
Agree, no way is NC going to let that happen unless the ink was drying on the contract of someone even better.
-
Sufficiently from my perspective that any further comparisons between Cortese and Lowe are completely ridiculous.
-
I'd have Beattie back here on loan. Cant believe anyone would turn their nose up at that.

Once or twice. But we dont have a top-league team in this part of Austria anymore, so I am not as clued up as I once would have been. I asked round a bit at work and no-one was hopping up and down in excitement. My general perception of Austrian League football is that is slower than English football AND not as skillful. How many Austrian players are doing well or have done well in England ? Paul Scharner is about the pick of the bunch, and I can only think of Manninger and Hiden who have tried in addition. Of course, Salihi is Albanian.

Not sure he can make the cut in England. A very big fish in the little pond that is Austrian football.

My 6 year old son debates like you. No grey areas, so subtlety. -

Christ, its like talking to a moron.... -
The officals were OK in the first half. The change in emphasis in the second half was f**king bizarre in its contrast. I really wonder if Atkinson was "spoken to" at half time.

If the whole energy and focus of the team were lifted a bit by the presence of a talismanic player such as Lallana is rapidly becoming, it is ENTIRELY possible. -

I dont consider the difference between scoring and playing well as massive. Teams playing sh*t dont score. -
I suppose you think anyone who accuses the ref yesterday of being biased is "precious" too ?

Yes, I referred to the team being lifted by a certain players presence. You saying that Giggs or Nani didnt lift Manyoo last night ? The likes of Gascoigne or MLT didnt lift their teams ? What about the likes of Maradonna ? FFS, read the posts and try to digest them before composing your sneering responses. -

I suppose not, if you want to be a bit pedantic.... -

Supported by the last 2 league games. And how do you know Lallana returning from injury wasnt the catalyst that kick-started our season ? -

Maybe. It only needs an ounce more motivation or a tiny difference in level of focus. How can you say it wouldnt have been different ? -
Apology accepted.

What, so you think certain players dont have a lifting effect on the rest of the team ? Sorry, that is nonsense. -

That was the point being made by georgeweahscousin, FFS. -
Man City forum - just before we score (and the goal etc of course)

No major decision went against us only because there were no major incidents. I had the same feeling of foreboding last night at half time that I had in Euro 2000 when I just knew the ref was going to give Romania a penalty to kick us out. -

Thats rubbish. There are clear stats floating around to prove we had problems scoring and winning without him. -
What a brave hero - dishing out the abuse but not man enough to handle reading the responses.
