  1. Possibly, but its the impression I have. I was only giving my opinion, as I said.
  2. Give it a rest; the p*ssing contest is getting very boring now. This constant snobbery against the opinion of ex-pats is incredibly arrogant and tedious. Its clear that me must have something between our ears or we wouldnt have got jobs abroad, whereas none of you can prove you are not clinically diagnosed morons. I know whose opinion I would consider more valid when faced with the choice between an ex-pat who does his best to inform himself and a moron...
  3. FFS, I was challeneged to suugest other people who could be shipped out and I gave my opinion. F*cking deal with it.
  4. I recall reading on here several times about him doing badly for certain goals, giving the ball away too often and that hes fine going forwards but suspect defending.
  5. I have always maintainted that the risk taken by Wilde and Crouch by putting the club in hock was a worthwhile effort. It nearly paid off. The reason it didnt was George Burley's erratic management, not their decision. We have a decent manager now and the club's financial position and constraints are COMPLETELY different. I dont believe this "self-sustainable" guff; it might be the long term plan, but I am willing to bet that NC can see promotion so close, within his grasp, he would go cap in hand to the Liebherrs or find the money elsewhere to push us over the line.
  6. Fine, but it isnt the most important thing right now, Promotion is. Hence I think NA and NC should de-riskthe chances of promotion as much as possible. If that means a couple more players, c'est la vie. And I agree with SFKA that no extra players is playing Russian Roulette.
  7. OK trying to explain over the cacophony of howls the two main points here : 1. Why did I refer to Harding as "Deadwood" ? Because he has fallen down the pecking order clearly, he may still be 2nd choice LB but he seems to have had some howlers this season. I know there is a contingent of fans who think criticism of any player is tantamount to selling your kids to a paedo, but Harding has been poor this season, I feel. OK, lets keep one of Mills and Harding and flog the other. 2. Lallana. Yes, in this form he is pretty much irreplaceable. And we were sh*te at the beginning of the season when he was injured. But he's injured again now. So, with question marks over the future of Puncheon and AOC, are some of you really advocating that we bury our head in the sand to the fact that we might be missing 3 or our first 6 midfielders and two of our most effective wingers in 2 weeks time ? And you still dont want to strengthen the squad ???? This thing about good players sitting in the ressies and not playing and therefore is a waste of money certainly isnt the case if we lose half our midfield by the end of the month, is it ?
  8. ????? Has Lowe come back and we are on the stock exchange again ??
  9. Connolly ? Harding ? Mills ?
  10. The lets get rid of some who simply arent needed any more.
  11. You cant say that. He was at the top of his game when he left us, his intiial progress has been stuttering and inconsistent at Arsenal to say the least.
  12. Its not me thats gone on record saying the club has tabled significant bids for players, its the squad. I am assuming NA and NC see something in the squad they are not yet comfortable with. Of course, it might be the squad has clicked and that this was prior to our 5 game winning streak.
  13. Very good post. The money is just going to burn a hole in our pocket, but selling him could de-rail our promotion challenge, which will make 5m look like chickensh*t then.
  14. Too many assumptions on here that everyone is going to stay, and stay fit.
  15. And now he's injured.
  16. According to the Daily Mail, a deal for 5m to Arsenal is close to being signed. Not only is the amount outrageous (I can beleive NC is agreeing to this...), but Arsenal will wreck him like they did Theo. And this also calls into question the wisdom of the rumour that we will not make any signings in this window, esepcially if Puncheon goes too. FFS...
  17. Agree in principle, but why are so judgemental and "Über Fan" about everything ?
  18. Thanks for the info. If that is the clubs position, well, we all just have to crack on and hope it is the correct position and nothing happens that causes the promotion campaign to become unstuck, since this would represent the biggest false economy in the clubs history... My personal opinion is that this is a mistake, for a variety of reasons.
  19. Not you my friend. Just the local Fellowship of the Transfer Market on here - NickGandalf The Grey and Pergrine Turkish.
  20. Yeah, but the squad is strong enough for promotion, innit ?
  21. History is for historians. We're alive now, the football we see is now. And we p*ss all over Pompey at the moment.
  22. Love the comment from the Manyoo fan underneath about him not being good enough for them or Chelsea. Arrogant tw*t.
