Nope. Just because someone writes a ridiculous comment about one footballing issue, does not lead me to conclude they know nothing about football, which is what you and the likes of NickG conclude. If that person then writes something which I believe to be correct on another occasion, I indicate my agreement in the usual manner. Strangely enough, that rarely happens with NickG though. I am sure Southampton in Division One on Planet Zog really dont need to strengthen in this window, and that finishing is not important for strikers or attacking midfielders there...

Why must people like you always use such arrogant judgmental terms ? It doesnt f**king matter who the problem is, the management or the player, or what the problem is, the simple fact of the matter is that he doesnt deliver for us, when he plays for us, in the style and set-up we play, we have done better without him, and he has done better without us. Seeing as we arent going to change a winning formula (unless it means getting in players better than we have), he is history where we are concerned and he is probably just as happy with that fact. This stuff about him coming back here, being welcomed with open arms by everyone not just a small minority of deluded naiive happy-clappy fans, and carrying on where he left off at Millwall is complete fantasy b*ll*cks.

There are still well over 20 games to go. I am sure some of our players have yellows dangling over their heads. Our first XI may well be able to beat anyone in this league (remains to be seen if that applies to away too, esp. Brighton), but to say that everyone will reman available is really unrealistic. Strengthening is a must, not only for promotion, but also so we hit the ground running next season (sorry if its a tired cliche from me that I repeat every turning point of every season, but we spectacularly f**k up our preparation every summer).

Could any one of the select group of posters on here who revel in judging the validity of fellow contributors support in terms of whether they live in the city and how often they go to games.

Whilst the stats indeed make impressive reading, lets not forget that we have probably played a bigger proportion of our home games than everyone else. The time to get carried away is April. We've only just reached the half-point of the season, FFS. Plenty of hard work still to be done. That's why Adkins is right to look to strengthen the team. To say this squad is strong enough is b*ll*cks, I am afraid.

For me there is one pertinent question : Would we be up there in an auto promotion spot with our fate in our own hands if Pardew was still here and Adkins wasnt ? My feeling is no, we wouldnt have been. I also dont think NC would have been as willing to finance the transfers we are hoping NA is on the verge of completing, if Pardew was still here. Overall, I see no reason at all to look back in anger...

Very pleased we went 100% over the holiday period. Was worried about today, especially on the strength of the first half. Hope we sign Goolie. The bottom line is that he is registered to a L1 club, has gone to an NPC club and done pretty well, so he aint going to go back. If anything, if his attitude is as bad as issuspected, he's probably thinking mid-to-bottom PL club. There is not a chance in hell of him coming back here and keeping his Millwall form going. Its as simple as that.

Wanting Puncheon back is tantamount to wanting Eyal Berkovic back.
