  1. I just listened to the post-match interview for the first time. About the time he mentioned Merrington or the Wycombe game, something deffo changed. Before that I found AP reasonably talkative, after that it was monosyllabic. There is tension in the air at SMS between manager and Chairman, it seems certain. AP has to buckle down and respond positively, or walk away, imo.
  2. No argument from me there. But for me this match really represents things coming to a head..
  3. For me, the way a team and its manager responds to a good win as equally as important as how they respond to a defeat. Especially in such an important game. This match is really a test of where we are going...
  4. Its obvious to the world and his wife (but not to some dank corner of Currently Maidstone, apparently) that the pressure on Pardew next season will be massive, and denying it is a nonsense.
  5. When you take into account the average resources of a L1 team compared to ours, yep, its just another excuse.
  6. This is indeed a biggie.
  7. I've seen the team play a few times the season, I didnt want every manger out - I wanted Pearson to stay and am still undecided about Pardew, and as for "slating every aspect of the club", well thats the most ridiculous of the lot. Thanks for posting that rubbish though, it proves my "low IQ" point when people like you can only post bullsh*t absolutes....
  8. I am happy to add my voice to this thread. He has given us hope after a disastrous Spring/Summer last year. He has also a visit to Wembley as a token of early gratification to give the fans. I want to see him have a bloody good go at next season with the gloves off, and no excuses to hide behind. BUT... If that is not working by Xmas, I want to see NC axe him with extreme prejudice, since there are a few little signs that he may not be able to deliver what is expected of him.
  9. Indeed. Sounds a bit "toys out of the pram" for me.
  10. And probably had a better feel for the game and the team progress than a lot of others at the game who were p*ssed or are blessed with a low IQ.
  11. No, I said it shouldnt affect the team that way and that it isnt an acceptable excuse. But the fact is, the team are crap on crap pitches on crap winter mid-week evenings. So to say it was solely down to Schneiderlins absence is overly-simplistic.

I'm a Saints fan. I am sure we had dafter contract clauses under Lowe.
  13. That I'll agree with. Let's hope it is the very last time his shadow is cast over SFC affairs.

Hope he has no get-out clause relating to non-promotion this season.
  15. If as the OP claims, he is now the key to the teams performance, we are reliant on his consistency. He has too much of Matt Oakley about him for my taste, to be honest.
  16. I agree. I am sure Walsall fans are equally upset at their teams motivation levels as we were last season.
  17. You and I are not being paid a fortune for my experience to manage the team. Seriously, what sort of question was that ?
  18. B*ll*cks That works both ways, you know. Heavy sarcasm is supposed to be against site rules, but it seems to me you mods dont even bother with that anymore.
  19. You dont see a difference ?
  20. Rubbish. AP has no tactics for crap away days deep winter mid-week in true L1 sh*tholes.
  21. He has huge potential, but needs to work on his consistency.
  22. They havent spent 3 or 4 million of their chairmans money and consequently are not under pressure to reach a play-off spot.
  23. And we didnt play on a quagmire of a pitch.
  24. Its a partial explanation, but it does NOT explain the drop-off in performance between the Norwich and Wycombe games.
  25. This is an outrageous statement. The person he works for has put considerable funds into the club. He has not tried to hog the media attention. He is clear that the key business aspect of the club is the performance on the field. Not catering. Not radio stations. To the best of our knowledge, he hasnt tried to pick the team, pick trasnfers, or turned up at Staplewood with a team tracksuit on with "NC" printed on it. He wont tolerate failure when it has been so well-funded - so what ? That is perfectly normal, and a million miles from Lowe
