  1. We're going out. 0-0. Less than 3 chances on goal, stifled in midfield.
  2. F**k knows what the problem is with Juanmi. Seems RK cant see further at the moment than building the entire team formation and tactics around Mane, so his reaction is hardly suprising. Will be interesting to see what he does if Mane is facing a spell on the side.
  3. I think there is a very salient point here. Include TV money, and the club have cleared in excess of 200 MILLION in the last 18months. Do you think the end product yesterday reflects that ?
  4. 9 reactions, and not a single one replying to the perfectly valid point that Krueger was full-of-mouth and soundbites last summer whilst the club flogged the silverware, and not a peep this summer. No we get nine sneering posts accusing the OP of being a troll. Mods (if there are any left), for gods sake get a grip. A small clique is stifling discussion and criticism around here with comments about trolling, bed-wetting, jumping to conclusions (well, there are 9 days left and no sign of the additional signings we desperately need), and various other forms abuse more targeted at individuals.
  5. Yep. And its because the management have ballsed up the transfers and/or are creaming off the transfer revenue.
  6. Well, fair enough. But this inferrs our squad is still wafer thin. We have only 13 or 14 players up to it. We are bound to have another spate of injuries before next May.
  7. Why cant Juanmi get a game ?
  8. A little bit early for this, but at least a salutory lesson to the club management about their complacent tight-fisted transfer policy for next summer, one hopes...
  9. Is the Southampton Way now formally declared deceased ?
  10. Please Uncle Les, a new CB this week...
  11. They'd go straight for his knee.
  12. Just got in. Strange line up. Is Cedric playing midfield ?
  13. I guess we are talking about yo-yoing between the two, with an occasional freak foray into the top 8. So actually, since the days of managers like Ball, Hoddle and Stachan, absolutely f**k-all has changed....
  14. Can you tell me what the point is then ? If we just have to accept our place in the food chain and know our place in the scheme of things ?
  15. The problem I have with this strategy is that the first team is so disrupted, so regularly, it makes reaching the "cup final or two" a game of chance rather than planned. I read many articles last season saying that it was a weak EPL season. Maybe there was an element of luck in our achievements ? Looking at how Everton and Newcastle appear to be much stronger this season as an initial impression, we could find ourselves significantly lower in the table, and accordingly our cup chances reduced. The strategy is great from an accountants perspective, but I dont see us making steady continual progress on the pitch.
  16. I like Hoddle's analogy to the housing market. That's f**king ridiculous too.
  17. What a stupid f**king comment. Everyone on this site wants Saints to have a strong as team as possible.
  18. Coming from you, I take this to be gospel. So shortly after Toby's comments to the press, this appears orchestrated. SURELY we can do something about this (FA ? EPL ?)
  19. FWIW, I agree, but it will leave all of us scratching our heads wondering about the clubs direction if it is proven true. The club have no-one but themselves to blame for the media feeding frenzy about ins and outs. I am all in favour of keeping the activity confidential, but jesus, get them over the f**king line in reasonable order. Then the media would shut up. These last 1 or 2 signings are taking a lifetime, and I reckon there is a chance they wont get completed in time.
  20. LOL at the illiteracy on here again. "this would be" means if this is the case. Come on, this would be a f**king awful signing if true, compared to who he is replacing and who we had come to expect replacing Toby. And you all know it. Where did I say I believe it ?
  21. Well, this would be the white flag for our season. Not fit until half the season is over, Yoshi and Caulker to cover this position. I guess this means VVD is staying at Celtic or going to Everton or Stoke.
  22. Wow. our next MLT.
  23. Hes a c**t who seems to have a problem with our club - probably our sheer temerity for making the top 6 sweat. But he is right about our standing in football; 10 years on, nothing has changed since the days of Rupert Lowe. That has become clear over the past year.
