Nope. The real disaster was the managment of Rupert Lowe that made administration inevitable. I said all along that going into administration was the only way to get rid of Lowe and have SOME hope; continuing under Lowe would have been a hopeless exercise with definitely the same result.

Sadly, I am in complete agreement. I think Fry has had his time wasted big time, though I am not so sure he will be particularly disappointed about it, somehow.

The timing of Barclays pulling the plug, and maybe even reducing the overdraft, may have been triggered by a loss of faith in the management of SLH. In which case, Barclays could easily force a change in management simply by threatening to call their marker in. If this were the case, it was a lose-lose situation for Lowe, so he did the ole' Butch Cassidy thing of taking as many with him as he could..
