Bye !

The Trust never got past giving the impression that it was a small clique of individuals trying to secure celebrity status and special treatment from the club. I actually think this was a little unfair, I was at the meeting down the Holiday Inn and acutally stood and asked a couple of questions (it was just after a couple of the guys were shown around Staplewood by Clive Woodward and Lowe), and the "board" gave me the impression of sincerity of wanting to help press for change at the club. Overall, a couple of things at the meeting suggested to me that it was ultimately destined to fail (1. Whinging about what right did the Trust board have to make decisions without a full vote of the memberhip and 2. some old c**t sat behind me ranting about why Steve Godwin dared to sit on the board when he didnt have an ST - the sort of attitude we see on here every day...), but I came away with some hope. Even when the likes of Steve Godwin and Steve Grant left it, the stink remained because Mr. Über-Fan took over (strange how I never saw him at some of the early meetings...). Then came the cheap beer promotions.... And the repeated droning for a fan (obviously someone from the trust) to be on the board of the club..... And its complete absence from activity whilst this season unravelled.... The final straw for me was pushing its private pre-match bar arrangements whilst leaving a 16 year old kid alone to organise the only co-ordinated and publicised activity to demonstrate that the fan base was reaching the end of its tether. As far as I am concerned, its a busted flush. I received an e-mail from it this week, didnt even read it before I clicked "Delete".

Mate, he gives as good as he gets, and is as tiresomely repetitive as any of us..
-
Personally, the most bizarre thing I find about him is the way he appears to be permanently scanning the internet - trying to find news articles to portray the club and its management in a positive light - that he can paste a link to on here.
-
I agree - jesus, this is the club's very survival we are talking about. What is more important about SFC than that ? There have been so many posts on here recently along the lines of "Don't give a shiit how we play, the 3 points are what counts", then we get lecturing about this site not being enough about the football nowadays. What contradictory nonsense..
-
Then perhaps you can answer the questions I responded with ?
-
Wow, thanks for that. If you are still about, can you answer two short questions : 1. What are these "agendas" you refer to ? 2. Can you explain how it is that some many posters on here, who have gone to SMS an "acceptable" amount of times in your eyes, have been so utterly deluded about the progress of the team for the first two-thirds of this season ? EDIT - third question. What's actually new about your complaining either ?
-
We're all "bitter", donchyaknow...
-
Unlike calling a 16 year old kid worried about his club and willing to do something about it "prejudiced", I suppose...
-
The gushing toadying sycophancy with which he greets every Lowe decision is really quite nauseating..........
-
The attendance piissing contest thing has become a petty, obsessive dig for some too. Other issues have taken some of us away from our home town or our country, like doing the best for our kid's upbringings or following work that is scarce on-the-ground.. Why does that mean we arent allowed to express our opinions, negative or otherwise, about the team we have supported our entire lives ?

The Echo must think there is some revenue to be had today in this - it will probably go on-line tomorrow. But's lets face it, we are not exactly missing Moses on Mt. Siani, are we ???
-
And just when it was going so well, and you were discussing the subject in a detatched manner....you simply cannot help yourself, can you ? I'd get something done about that obsession - you have as many issue and agendas as anyone else, and your contributions in these parts arent particularly humourous or light-hearted either...
-
Yep. There are culprits on both sides of the argument.
-
As if...
-
Who am I sycophantic about ? You dont even know the meaning of the word.....
-
I agree in the final analysis, I just think a rousing performance is more likely to carry us forward to get the other results we also need to stay up.
-
I'd rather we went out and made our own luck with a convincing performance than relying on the opposition suffering misfortune, to be honest.
-
Can someone please explain why the Echo website refers to Mike Richards as a Saints director ? Did I miss this appointment, or is it sloppy journalism ?
-
The only thing to do is get behind Wotte - Crouch

Will Lowe go down in your estimation when he throws any olive branch back in Crouch's face ? -
No need for me to say it when sycophants like you are bending over backwards to say it at every opportunity........
-
Draw whatever conclusions you wish; I am bored with your trolling.
-
Mike Richards....let's be having you.

Its going to be more sanctimonious clap-trap like his last missive, I expect. All that bulllshyte about being entrusted his shares and duty-bound to the people of Southampton Waaanker... -
But it didnt, despite his chairman and board backing him more financially than any other Saints manager in history.
