  1. I would have thought so too. And I cant see Crouch not trying to usurp Wilde and Lowe.
  2. Whether it is Lowe or another owner, it is the only way. If Lowe is sole owner, then he stands or falls by what happens next year. He cannot blame anyone else. Personally, I reckon thousands more fans wont go and the club will go bust properly this time, destroying his reputation. The worst thing that could happen is if Wilde and Lowe bought it between them. Then there is still the scope for *****ing, fighting, ego and finger-pointing when it goes tits-up next year. Of course, the club really needs a complete clean slate. The fan base would reunite, and attendances would definintely go up (because they will be starting from such a low base...)
  3. Because Lowe has hung his coat firmly on the Poortvillet hook. His business and football reputation and credibility is at stake here. He took a massive gamble that has failed. He will be the last person to realise it (or at least admit it)
  4. Do you REALLY think Lowe isnt already trying to sell anything not bolted down ?
  5. Dont see the point in the aggressive school-teacher tone. Wilde is about the only person on the inside with the clout to turn things around. I still reckon a change of heart by him and a bust-up with Lowe is our best and only realistic hope...
  6. Are we not doing that already, or do you need to see "For Sale" signs up at SMS before reality sinks in ?
  7. Come off it. We all know Nick Illingsworth would scweam and scweam and stamp his foot because he is the Ueber-Fan and only he should be offered such a role....
  8. Surely if there is a suspicion that the board have deliberately brought this about to clear debts and pick up the club for a song, there are serious legal ramifications ?
  9. I have explained the reasons behind my opinion. Simply put, the club might have a future if it happens at the right time - now. If the club drags on into next season and it happens then (and I reckon it is a foregone conclusion unless a buyer suddenly appears), we are finished. Negative points next season would most likely see us in the 4th tier the season after, and we already look doomed to the 3rd tier.
  10. If Lowe and Wilde were to pick up the club on the cheap following administration, the question that would need to be asked is : How come they suddenly found money to spend on the club when they "couldnt" before administration ?
  11. He has brought this situation on the club, by putting a failed chairman back in place. He is also the only individual capable of organising a removal of this failed chairman. If he does nothing, and votes with Lowe in the AGM, the club and his asset will be finished by the next time he gets to express a vote-of-confidence in a years time - organisning a change-of-heart EGM in 3 or 6 months will just waste more precious finance. Mike, please try engaging that grey matter, and consider what you have done and where it will lead...
  12. No he wont, he already has key shareholdings in his pocket.
  13. A florid middle-digit raised by the board, management and players of SFC to their long-suffering fans and especially the 12,000-odd who gave the club another chance.
  14. I find that comment patronising, my friend. Apart from the points issue, which I am advocating taking on the chin NOW in what is clearly shaping up to be a relegation season anyway, Lowe is ALREADY acting like an Administrator.
  15. What is your answer then ? That result and performance today has just KILLED the home gate revenue for another couple of months at least.
  16. Well it is, whether some of you like it or not. SFC is facing years of painful decline to non-league or non-existence status with the current management and mentality. We need Barclays to force administration now, flog the club, clear the debts, take the points deduction on the chin in what is already a lost (and highly likely relegation) season, and start with a clean slate next year and rebuild the club and the trust and faith of the fan-base without the emotional baggage of Lowe and Wilde. There is NO other way. Anything else is a death by a thousand cuts.
  17. Of course they are. They need to give the Luvvies on here their "we were good for the last 6 minutes, we play great football, now to build on that in the next game" excuse...
  18. I suspect he's got it back in a round-about manner...
  19. Do you want to get out of this rut ? F**k playing the "Southampton Way" - let's walk before we run and win a game.
  20. What confidence ?
  21. They were probably expecting to walk it against Forest.
  22. Yep, they were superb.
  23. I reckon they could if they played for 90minutes, and we know how The Other Arrogant Beetroot-Faced Bastard in Football loves to put out a full-strength team against us...
  24. Pearson was better than Burley. But Rupey knows best. Oh...
