LOL. That comment is really funny....
-
And Pearson managed it with a bunch of over-the-hill over-paid Burley journeymen that were not in the slightest bit concerned about the fate of SFC. Your point is ?

Why do we always make such a poor start to the season?

Now you know the main reasons I emigrated in Spring......... -
Really, you seem to be in a general state of ecstasy at Lowe's return, so I doubt that very much. You were picking holes in Wilde before you even knew anything about him.

I am certain the cause of your annoyance was the final comment about this season, but do you really disagree with the rest of my post ? -
Why do we always make such a poor start to the season?

Most years I would say it is down to piiss-poor pre-season preparation and transfer activity, of which last Summer 2007 has to rate as the worst in a millennia. However, this year it is because we are basically shiit and are going down. -
This thread is hillarious. I think hypo is misguided in starting it, but he is entitled to express his opinion. We've got rid of or are refusing to play all our recognised players, are using kids on a wing-and-a-prayer that they make an impact so they can be flogged for reasonable fees in January, are employing the likes of Antony Pulis who would have trouble getting a match for a paraplegic pub team or so it seems, and are employing cripples who we can get cheap because of a fleeting sense of loyalty to the club because of the past, but as a result dont ask for much money because they simply want to get a game. This is Southampton Football Club Autumn 2008 under the new regime of Lord Lowe. Am I impressed ? Am I f**k.

Absolutely. Also, that "20%-50%" comment provides conclusive proof, if ever it were needed, that nickh is a Lowe Luvvie.

Two points (and my apologies, I cannot be bothered finding the quotes what they are reponses to): 1. I dont agree we have more cover at CB this season. We have a number of midfielders we can shove in at CB as warm bodies, and we have a number of inexperienced kids. I have believed, all along, that if one were to ask me if there is one position on the pitch where I felt an old experienced-in-position hand is an absolute pre-requisite, I would immediately answer "CB" 2. Burley made an absolutely ridiculous assumption last season that Lunekvam would be available at some point, and had no Plan B in case he wasnt. I reckon he chose to believe it so he had an excuse to carry on collecting midfielders, his favourite pastime. Lowe is doing exactly the same thing this season with Killer, though of course his excuse is money. As has been said on here by someone else, Lowe probably meekly accepted the offer for Davies and held his hand out for the dosh on the assumption that Killer would fill in on the cheap. I dont buy this crap about a clause in Davies's contract, since there has been NO proof of that forthcoming.

Certainly. SOGGY has come on here and used all three of his precious posts for the day (seeing as he wont cough up) slagging me off. He stalks me round Saints chat sites in his virtual dirty old mac. He's come on here today because I stopped responding to him in other places.
-
....and that's your three. Bye...
-
Indeed, and its not as if its a one-way animosity, is it ?
-
Wassa madda SOGGY, cant you handle the fact I stopped replying to you over at The Other Place because you got so boring and repetitive ? Who's doing the stalking now ??? And its not even as if you have anything more to say, is it ??? Yep, I get a great kick out of watching Burley's career and useless brand of football management flounder after what he did to us, and I am not in the slightest shy or ashamed to admit it. Paid yer fiver yet ?

QPR 2-0 Saints

Schneiderlin was a great success at CB during the first half against Exeter, I seem to recall...
-
We are starting from our lowest base (in terms of squad depth and quality) for about 35 years...
-
I remember the last time we flogged a decent CB and Killer got injured soon thereafter. His name was Fitz Hall and we got relegated..............
-
http://m6live.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/news/3663854.Saints_hit_by_double_injury/ And with Thomas also injured, we are now completely f**ked at the back for QPR. No full-backs No centre-backs Some things never change. Our paper-thin squad at the back exposed yet again...
-
F**king "A" we did... But Lowe would probably have done the same thing........
-
When was the last time that watching England can be described as resembling anything near "delightful" ? Beating Holland 4-1 in 96 or Germany 1-5 in 2001, I reckon.. Saints have filled my heart with joy many more times, and more recently than that. F**k England. It's just another way for tossers like Beckham and Lampard to promote their brand - sod actually winning..........

MLTs last goal at the Dell.
-
Its probably down to : 1.) The international break 2.) The transfer window being shut (and us never going to be involved in a positive sense anyway) However, it could also be down to the fact that there is an element on here that have gone out of their way to crush criticism and dissent of the new on- and off-field regime. Whether most people like it or not, negative issues attract more discussion, controversy and debate than positive ones.
-
Probably. The question is, is there anyone left that cares ??

How much will Iceland twaaaat Highly-Motivated Scotland by ????

Not wriggling at all; I am telling the truth in the face of your lies or at best, selective forgetfulness.. I find it the height of arrogance that you believe I should have accepted that D & G would be appointed on the basis that "you said so". Jesus, and I get slagged off for comments like that..........
