Only if 'our level' is the Championship. Personally I'd say Lundekvam, Svensson and Fonte were what I'd like to be our level.

Well, that ain’t getting moved for TV. Arsenal vs Leeds, the Merseyside Derby, Wolves vs Utd and a couple of minnows will get those slots.

Home! We’re at f**king home!!

Some people can have a week off, grow up a bit and stop with the constant, "I’m a better fan than you," posts.

And H was the best member of Steps, that’s still not a compliment.

My opinion of Boufal is that he has looked half decent coming off the bench this season but has rarely looked good when starting in his entire Saints career. Four Saints managers have given him a run in the team including Ralph, who gave him five starts in a row from Fulham to Spurs. None of them rated him enough to stay in the team and he was always dropped, plus he was in and out of Sevilla's team when he was on loan. Against Bournemouth and Spurs we looked clueless going forward. We got a penalty for a silly foul on Adams and a howler from Lloris. Apart from that we failed to score against one of the leakiest defences in the league and an under-performing Spurs with ten men. I'm not laying the blame at Boufal here but he hardly stood out above the rest in some very tepid Saints performances. I'll say it again, I'd start him Wednesday and give him ANOTHER run in the team but this talk of giving him a new contract, saying he's by far our best player, a phenomenal talent and, "I'd pay to watch him, like MLT," I just find bizarre.

I think Everton have the quality in their squad to underperform and still end up mid table, so I’m not too bothered about them. Norwich and Villa not winning are the important games. All change in the last 3 minutes anyway.

Firstly, Celtic wont be buying Moi and Forster even if they won the Ballon D'Or. They can't afford their wages, the best we can hope for is to loan them there again next season or if we do sell them, we will be giving them a big payout to cover the difference. Secondly, everybody is looking for the type of players you've listed. Experienced defenders, quick athletes, mobile defensive midfielders... We will have to outspend the rest of the league to get the kind of quality we need and right now we aren't capable of that. Nobody is looking for a midget CB, Midfielder with rusty knees and a one paced winger who smacks it into the car park. It's going to be tough for a few years, whatever league we're in (probably not this IMO). If anything, yesterday's result reminds me of when Wigley beat Pompey.

Like Bournemouth and Spurs?

He was slated because he had suffered endless fitness issues before we agreed to spend £20m on him and the problems carried on for large parts of last season. I think he has already matched last years league goal tally of 7, which is pretty poor for a striker. Glad he's fit and scoring now though. Without him we'd look like one of those Derby or Sunderland teams which went down a few years ago.
-
He's right though. How many times before have we seen this from Boufal? Like that West Brom goal where he then got 5 starts in a row and did bugger all. FWIW I would also start him on Wednesday and give him another go, although this is mainly because our other options are generally poor. I wont be holding my breath however.

Last minute of injury time and they have 4 players unmarked in our box.

Pretty chilling video, I can only hope none of the people he stabbed are seriously wounded.

I would have said no personally because I didn't believe there was any evidence (in public at least) that he had done anything criminally negligent. i.e. Did he deliberately do something knowing that it would lead to fatalities? No. I'd say it was similar to knocking down and killing a child, crossing a 30mph road, whilst doing 32mph. The inquiry would say yes, he made a mistake and was partly at fault. A criminal prosecution would find he wasn't negligent or reckless in the way that someone doing 50mph whilst drunk would be.
-
I'm with you on that bit, mistakes are one thing but deliberately trying to cover them up and hindering the investigation is something else. As for the rest of your post, I wouldn't say it was wrong but more to the point, how could all these mistakes be made by one person, without either the full situational awareness or any kind of fail safe for him making a wrong decision.

I love a good, belting away end as much as anyone else. To me replica shirts (or at least team colours) show a certain unity and togetherness which adds something to the atmosphere. When someone says passionate European fans to me, the first team that springs to mind (no idea why) is Partizan Belgrade. They've got plenty of shirts, scarves (non 50:50 obviously) and flags and provide a hell of an atmosphere to play in. Same with most other clubs we associate with a good atmosphere; Celtic, Dortmund etc. I'm not saying everyone should wear colours, I honestly don't care. What I don't get is why passionate fans would see pictures like these and want to discourage it.

This is probably going to be an unpopular opinion but if an impartial jury has found him not guilty, after the available evidence has been presented to them, then that's good enough for me. The fact that he has been brought to trial is a form of justice in itself. I've studied a lot of aviation accidents and we often refer to something called the Swiss cheese model. Basically you have slices of cheese with holes in, when the holes all line up you get an accident. There are three obvious ways to make life safer: 1. More slices 2. Fewer holes 3. Smaller holes. The Police are a slice of cheese, they are there to ensure safety - The mistakes of individuals are obviously the holes. Stadium design is another slice, it should be safe for everyone - The fences at Hillsborough were a hole You get the idea. The point is that no one individual error should lead to the deaths of 96 people. Duckenfield opening a gate because he was trying his best to prevent a crush outside the ground should not lead to fatalities. That points to a systematic error that needed addressing and it has been. Justice will be served if the mistakes made in the lead up to that event are learned from and never repeated. A witch hunt isn't going to bring anyone back.

Supposedly. I never met the bloke personally.

Never heard of this committee personally and have no idea what they're about. Having said that, the OB really do have better things to do than stalk people who are 'just having a laugh' so if they are keeping an eye on someone, clearly something has been said. As for 'grassing', again it depends who said what. I get that a lot of people don't like half an half scarves and I'm certainly no fan. I don't get why replica shirts at games are a problem though. I wear mine with pride, if the players see a wall of red and white at a game, that must provide some visual encouragement, same as a good vocal atmosphere. More to the point I really don't see why anyone would care what somebody else is wearing. Okay, silly wigs and face paints are pretty cringe worthy but a replica shirt; I just don't see the problem.

I don't know, a lot of American republics seem pretty skeptical. Even when every creditable scientist is pretty much in agreement that we are contributing to a serious climate problem it's all, "who's paying them? Why are they saying this? I'm not falling for this liberal agenda." On the other hand if you tell them the man in the sky told a geriatric to build a wooden boat the size of an oil tanker and round up two of every animal, "hallelujah, praise the lord!"
-
Nobody has said they are but we are quite obviously making things worse. Why people continue to deny this I can never understand.

Ah, the old, "it’s cold this week, therefore global warming must be a myth," line. I like that one. As an avid skier climate change really does concern me. I know ski holidays are hardly the worst of the worlds problems but an average rise of 2 degrees in temperature would put some of my favourite resorts out of business.

If you’re talking about followers not being able to see your posts then I agree and that is a line which has been crossed. I’m just questioning that this is what’s actually going on, as I’m not entirely convinced. Where is the evidence for this? Shroppie made the assertion that he had posted things which were then deliberately hidden from followers. I think it’s far more likely these posts have been seen (to the extent that people are actually bothering to check FB and Twitter) but simply aren’t triggering much of a reaction. Going back to the friend I mentioned, I think he genuinely believes people will be shocked and outraged when he ‘reveals’ the Tories want to privatise parts of the NHS. Basically our political opinions are nowhere near as interesting as we think they are.
