Hopefully not to us. We certainly don't need another LB and I haven't been too impressed with him in recent years.
-
It sounds as though you are his agent, Turkish! It's certainly an interesting idea - not one many would come up with I don't think - however, aside from his pace and perhaps a bit of strength, I don't see many attributes which would make him a top defender? You seem to be indicating that super pace is all he really needs - have you ever seen him tackle or man-mark? Would he have the anticipation, concentration and bravery required of a good defender? He certainly isn't very tall so would have to have quite a leap on him to win headers against tall strikers. I can't see it myself, and I doubt we will ever get the chance to find out!

Ooo friend! Fake football friend! (Sorry for those who haven't seen the Inbetweeners!)

How many goals will we score in all competitions this season?

That goes without saying! -
It's strange how opinions vary so much! I saw the Leicester game and Richardson was disappointing, however overall I have been happy having him in the team as RB. There are certainly weaker links in the team than him.
-
Doesn't really matter - it's just funny because it's simple and sounds silly!

It's been a brilliant year! Looking forward to many more with Nige at the helm, in the building and on the bus and all that!
-
Yeah he was. However, a lot of time has passed and I don't think there would be any point in getting him back now, especially at 37. Good luck to him, though.

Tom-o! The sort of guy who, if playing against us, we would hate - but playing for us, well we loved him! Will remember him for the winning pen against Norwich, head-butting opponents in the back of the head sometimes when going up for headers, winding the MK Dons players up in the home leg and when substituted...oh, and the Ipswich screamer! Good luck Tom-o.

Jags had had a season in the Prem with Sheff Utd and performed very well and stood out - that wasn't Moyes signing a 'good Championship player' as he had at least a full season of Prem experience. Hadn't Lescott played in the Prem too with Wolves (although that may have been the season he was injured)?
-
Beckford didn't exactly work out - he has been sold back to a Championship club. I don't think he was or will be a Prem standard player, so I wouldn't count Beckford as a 'good championship player' who Moyes has worked into his Prem Everton side.
-
Does he? I can't think of many examples apart from Tim Cahill that have worked out...

On the way / just got home from the game thread...

Just back myself - gutted that we couldn't get an equaliser as fully deserved it on that second half showing and the number of excellent chances we had. Fans were superb and such a shame the team couldn't get past Schmeichel again towards the end - we certainly would have drawn/won that game nine times out of ten. Unfortunately it has to be said that Guly was awful and De Ridder looked miles better when he came on - had much more awareness, determination and actually ran! I'm only saying that because the amount of people who stick up for him baffles me at times - yes he can change games and has some Brazilian flair/skill etc. but the guy is so frustrating and inconsistent and just didn't seem that interested today. -
Head to the Swan and Rushes Danny! You know it makes sense - not too far from the stadium either.

Thanks Leicestersaint
-
Leicestersaint - do you think the Swan and Rushes pub is a good shout for us away fans?
-
Me too (plus a mate)!
-
Eh? He's not that old! 35 I believe. Plus, even if he doesn't play many games this season, I would much rather have him at the back when we come up against a team who stick a big targetman up front and whack it forward. He will come in handy when required for certain games, plus his experience and sheer presence around team training and the younger players is invaluable.
-
As this is the only suggestion so far, shall we promote this as a pub for Saints fans to head to prior to the match? Unless anyone knows of an away pub that will be better?
-
We are talking about Jason Puncheon right?
-
I just can't wait for Saturday to arrive and to head on up there! Having a week off I think will definitely be advantageous to Saints but for some reason I'm feeling more nervous because we are unbeaten, not sure if anyone else is feeling the same? Perhaps it's because we have our 100% record to defend and a defeat would be such a kick in the teeth after constantly winning. At the start of the season we may have gone to Leicester not really expecting much - now we are.
-
And you just know what would happen on Saturday if they were to sign him this week!
-
Collected mine at the ticket office on Saturday - luckily I checked them before leaving as they had given me the wrong tickets! Said something like 'to be replaced - this is not a match day ticket' on them! Not too sure what's going on with our ticket office at the moment but they haven't impressed a lot of people recently
