Anyone been out in York before? We were looking at staying in Newcastle but adding up the costs, it looks fakkin' expensive! York looks a fair bit cheaper so far but we don't want the day ruined with a lack of decent bars or a lack of northern slags. TS.

If you're in to DnB or Dubstep, I've heard excellent things about this http://www.outlookfestival.com

I usually do 3 or 4 festivals a year... Bestival being by far the best in Britain IMO. If you're looking for something abroad, Berlin festival is decent as is Tomorrowland in Belgium and Exit in Serbia. Depends on your music tastes I suppose. I've already been to the Bugged Out Weekender this year and will be going to Tomorrowland, Creamfields and Bestival

A week shy of 28, born in Scotland and moved south for the climate whilst still a bairn. Currently living in the Polygon. First home game, Saints v Ipswich '93 I think? 4-3 First away game, Tottingham v Saints 2000 - 7 -2 (I was put off for a long time after that!) TS

Christian and Jewish graves being desecrated... there would be a right sh*t storm. Absolutely sickening. -

hopefully the family will donate a few to help with the demolition when fratton park makes way for more council houses. -

birthday game for me, this one! we found a cracking little "pound in a pint glass" gentlemen's club in shoreditch before the whammers game and of course I will be popping my head in to say hello to the lovely estonian ladies this time around. feel free to join in on my birthday celebrations - fancy dress, face paints, jesters hats & other novelty saints accessories are a must!!

There is definitely scope for going to Venezuela but it depends on how the situation is out there at the time. A couple of mates of mine were out there last year and encountered problems pretty much where ever they went. They're pretty savvy travellers themselves and they recommended giving it a miss. I suppose some people are just unlucky! If I have enough money towards the end of the trip to be able to afford a flight in to Caracas, then I probably will. Thanks for the info Opthomps/Rattlehead, I've heard very good things about the women in S.America, especially around the south of Brazil and in Colombia. Sadly I'm having to drag my missus around with me so I don't think I'll get the chance to indulge in that aspect!

I'll be teaching English in Bolivia when I'm down there and will get Spanish lessons back in reward. Though I don't how I'm going to cope up until that. Point, shout and talk slowly... Punta da Choros looks amazing.. nice and relaxed and read some good reviews of the place. It's on the list! Cheers Buctootim

Thanks for the input so far guys... heard great things about Iguazu, so i'll definitely be heading there! Mash - try looking about 8 weeks before you intend to fly (that's what I'm doing). It seems a bit late but I've travelled a fair bit and it always when I find the cheapest fares. Though I've found its also cheaper in some instances to fly to Buenos Aires rather than Rio, even though its about 1200miles further. TAP, Iberia/B.A and KLM have been the cheapest I've found to South America. Appreciative of any more ideas...

I'm going travelling for 6 months in December, flying in to Rio. Anyone been around themselves and can recommend any "unmissable" places to visit? I would like to get some ideas from people with first hand experiences. The basic route is Brazil, Paraguay, Uruguay, Argentina, The Falklands, Chile, Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador, Columbia, Down the Amazon, Guyana, Suriname back to Brazil and back home. I'll be taking it quite slowly and want to take in both city and rural culture. I also plan to go to a football game in each country I visit, so if anyone knows any info on getting tickets, prices etc.. I would be extremely grateful for that too! Cheers

Also... seems you can only get your vote counted twice by voting on the link and then going to the home page and voting again.

with the dawn of the internet and a hardware store close by, home-made explosives were my forté. sugar + weed killer bombs and tennis balls full of non-safety matches were the classic. the only good thing that came from chemistry lessons!

When up visiting family in Kilmarnock, you'll notice more people wearing Rangers or Celtic shirts in town than Kilmarnock ones. It's pretty similar all over the country though. I once met a chap before an Old Firm game who was a Rangers ST holder who used to travel down from Fort William (100miles away) for every home game.

On that note, anyone know how that new independent Saints Away coach lot have been getting on? Went on it a couple of times and it was pretty decent until the "Official Coach" lot reported the guy for letting the lads drink beers whilst travelling. You got a few mongs on-board but it was generally pretty good. I've been getting the train again as I can't be bothered sneaking booze on-board like a kid on a school trip. ffs. don't know whether its still going now.

No, those that went to Pompey shouldn't be "first in line" for Brighton tickets... but those who have notched up a few away games should be rewarded for their support when it comes to a local game. The system worked fine at Brighton last season.. I just don't understand why it wasn't used again this time.
-
Yeah, I was down there at 7.30 and didn't get a ticket. This should definitely have gone to ballot! By the look of the queue its going to be another game full of families and with no atmosphere in our end. I don't think we'll be missing much! *bitter*

I have a Breguet given to me on my 21st from my Grandad. Beautiful watch but I'm too scared to wear it!
