  1. Makes even less sense to me, so we sign him injured, plays 6 games for us then moves on for a slight profit, how has that enrched our team?? I'd rather make no profit, keep John or Saga, win more games, be higher in the league with higher attendances and pay of the overdraft that way!!
  2. I'm sure I recognised the handwriting as......................YOURS Mr. Noble!!!!
  3. Then our DoF / CeO / Plc chairman is failing us and should be removed!
  4. I agree with your maths, my point is as only 3 of the 12 signings made by Poortaloo are actually playing, would it not of been better not to sign the other 9 players saving the club 20k a week allowing us to spend that money on the wages of John, Saga or Rasiak??
  5. Using your logic and maths means we could of NOT signed, Smith, Robertson, Gasmi, Forecast, wotton, schneriden, pulis & Pekhart saving the club atleast 20k (imo) allowing us to keep John! Ps- how much money have we lost signing 3 players, Gasmi, Pulis and Shneriden who were all injured and not able to play for x months, could this money of been used to pay one of our strikers? Pps - did we really need to spend £1.2m on Schneriden when our midfield is full to bursting yet we have no strikers?
  6. Didn't our chef's win best corporate???
  7. unfortunately this one way drive is heading straight for Div 1 and admin! The one thing i don't understand is why has our youth/reserves been trained to play this way for so many years, starting with prost, when our first team were not playing said system?? Maybe thats why they were overlooked by Redknapp & Burley, what good were they to our first team if they couldn't fit in to our managers 4-4-2 english formation??
  8. The botom line is both spurs and blackburn were on terrible runs under the previous managers, they changed managers so the form changed. I believe with a new manager we'd have new tactics, new formation and possibly different personale. Play 4-4-2. Right wingers on the right, left wingers on the left, a strong combative midfielder (Euell) in the middle, Saganowski up front alongside Mcgd, etc!
  9. Think your right, can't ever remember making a signing of his quality!
  10. I don't see it that way though mate, Redknapp came in at Spurs, made no signings & won 8 out 11, Alladyce came in at Blackburn again no signings and is unbeaten in 3. I realise there is a counter argument for this, but i'd just like to point out that a change can work without having to change the team/ make wholesale signings!
  11. there is every point in changing manager, as it stands under Jans tactics we are 2nd from bottom, 2 points adrift of safety and heading straight to div 1. If Jan can't see that his tactics, formation team selection is not working and change it, then we have no alternative but to change the manager, and now! Last year the board gave Dodd and Gorman a chnace to impress, they didn't and were heading for Div 1, the board realsied this and changed the manager, mid-season, and we survived, just!
  12. My best effort had to be when my wife woke me up the morning after a good Friday night and told me "to pack your suitcase" I said "please don't tell me we've had a row as i can't remember anything". she replied "no, you came home p!ssed up last night, went on the internet and booked a flight to Alicante to see your parents, you'r plane leaves in 90 mins" wooops!!!! The funny thing was I'd only booked 1 seat so left the wife and kids at home!
  13. wasting your time John! Thought that was quite funny myself "Originally Posted by Sundance Beast Yesterday's game suggests there is no need to start panicking just yet" apart from the fact we're now second from bottom, 2 points adrift of safety with a gd of-18, when can we panick??
  14. pheew, glad i'm not alone here!
  15. 100% agree with you here mate, we've been saying this for years. look at our relegation season, Middlesborough & Everton to name just 2 games got a massive lift attacking their fans and the rest is history!
  16. Exactly, another point, how can a man with such a record as Wotte's A. be Jans assistant and B. be on a combined (Jan, Gore, Hockaday) wage of less than Nigle Pearson?? Mark Wotte (born 16 December 1960 in Enschede, Overijssel) is a football manager from the Netherlands, who, until May 2008, was the head coach of RKC Waalwijk. As a player he played for Feyenoord Rotterdam, FC Vlaardingen, FC Den Haag and SVV. In 1996, he was named head coach of ADO Den Haag, where he stayed for two seasons, before signing for FC Utrecht (1997-2000). He later worked for FC Den Bosch, Willem II Tilburg, the Royal Netherlands Football Association, Feyenoord Rotterdam (technical director), and Ismaily SC in Egypt, where he left on 16 December 2006 to go to RKC Waalwijk. He went back to Ismaily in 2008 for a short spell. In May 2008, Wotte joined Southampton as assistant manager as part of the new management team which replaced Nigel Pearson. Wotte will work as assistant manager with particular responsibility for the development of Southampton's youth squad and directly under newly appointed head coach Jan Poortvliet.
  17. Sorry to disagree but what makes him a good manager? Jan Poortaloo - After his retirement in the early 1990s he became a football manager, who worked for clubs like F.C. Den Bosch (Capacity 9k), RBC Roosendaal (capacity 7k) and Stormvogels Telstar (capacity 3250) . He's been a manager for nearly 20 years but he has never managed a club of any size, with his reputation for "total football" and his ability to succeed with little or no money and with youth, why has he never been offered a job of any size in Holland? I'm not talking about Feyenoord or Ajax, but not even a Willem or Vitesse have come in for him, there must be a reason for this, imo it because he's not up to it??
  18. Why would we be calling for a boycott last season?? Last season there was a united fan base with the majority of fans backing the manager and board, there seemed genuine hope for the future, that hope and unity has gone!!
  19. I'll say sorry right away for suggesting that anyone is a c**t, bang out of order regardless of wither Surman goes or not, everyone is entitled to thier own opinion. Ps. the quicker google bring in the gadget which makes it difficult to work a pc when your pi**ed the better!
  20. negative posters??? our you for real??? so it's just chance that surman missed todays game??? You and your Lowe mates are c, sorry, i wont say it. Your welcome to your opinion as i am mine! our club is dead, RUPERT is killing it, you do what you feel is needed and i'll do the same!
  21. i'm sorry mate but i don't understand??? I'm just back from the game/pub but i don't get what your saying??
  22. your a joke, it was never, ever, f*&^ing ever 4-4-2........................ever!
  23. how could it be 4-4-2? Mr. Lowe and jp said that our players could not play 4-4-2, they said that we have trained to play 4-1-2-1-2!!!!! why the f&^%k would all our managers (strachan, Redknap, Burley) let the youth train different to th e first team? Sorry but i don't get it, why would our managers play 4-4-2 but insist on our youth play 4-2-1-2-1???
  24. so your happy to just stick with the status quo? Not for me mate, thanks but no thanks!
  25. Nick, no one is asking for Beattie, why do you always suggest the opposing argument is stupid? Jp has signed in excess of 12 players, only 3 started on boxing day, is it beyond the relm of reason to equate that the saving of the 8 players could of meant we could of payed johns wages?? Yes Pearson has gone, but that does not mean Jp was the only other option!
