17, from near Andover. Uncle took me to my first game against Charlton (3-2), must have been about 7-8. First away game was against Reading, 0-2 i think, and i've been hooked on going away since. Feel very young..
-
Suspect quite a few will be buying on the door.
-
Yeah, worth getting if you know you'll do more or less every one. I think next season you shouldn't have to be a home ST to get one (i'm not but bought it on a friends).
-
Well what you can sign up to, is them to just send you every away ticket automatically. Means i don't have to worry about booking, which saves some hassle but you don't get a discount as such.
-
Anyone driving back to Andover straight after the game? Would chip in petrol money.
-
After all, these 'football intelligance officers' paid nice chunky salaries at the tax payers expense have got to do something to keep themselves busy in between fiming people standing outside a pub.
-
Interesting read. Sort of comfirmed what i thought though, i suspect the police have a lot more information on a lot more people than we think. And then as the article says, they'll look for an excuse to ban you. How they can dish out 3 year bans (like they do) for people jumping over an advertisment board to celebrate a goal with the players is beyond me. Many had their details taken?
-
They were not a nice bunch, kept saying 'thats southampton's fault not ours'. Were never going to let me just pay the difference. 65 odd quid, worth every penny mind! One of them thought he was being nice saying, 'i can direct you to a pub if you want', i've just come 5 hours you nonce.
-
I was kicked out for having a junior ticket. Despite the fact its not my fault, got an away ST and thats what the club sent me. I had 32 quid on me, and they wouldn't even take that the jobsworth b*stards. So had to walk to a cash point and take more out, on top of the 28 quid original ticket. One utter c*nt on the turnstiles in a suit who was pulling all the strings. Wouldn't let me take my flag in either. Come in 10 minutes late, Lambert volleys it home, class.
-
Made it a memorable trip, the non stop singing throughout the second half. OWTS went on for 20 odd minutes. Behind the players right till the end.
-
Anyone know how many tickets we've sold?
-
What is it you did? If you don't mind sharing that is.
-
I'm all for a little. But shouldn't countries have their own dominant culture? Thats what traveling is for. Do you live in a nice part of town where meeting 'other cultures' consists of going for a Curry? You seem to have quite a naiive outlook.
-
Where are you geting your facts from..it was a lot more than 40,000. Suppose it must have been great over there before the nasty US and UK came along, when you get past the ethnic cleansing etc.
-
This is what the lefties don't seem to get, it widens the gap between rich and poor to a huge extent. Tommy R looked like a f*cking idiot with his whole 'slipping the old bill..', then he seemed shocked to get a phone call, what the f*ck was he expecting? I can see why a lot of young lads get attracted to the EDL, but it attracts far too many morons. Elements of what they say i agree with. What i hate is their sense of self importance 'we will be written in history books..' yeah of course..for getting ****ed up and singing Mohamid is a pedo.. The UAF are f*cking scum, and its a disgrace that they are funded by the governement, and have support from lots of politicians. They hate any form of national pride, infact their leader said something along the lines that flying the British flag is disgusting, he's made many hate speeches about Britain, have watched them on youtube. They glorify communism, the idealogy reasponsable for so many million deaths. A nasty bunch when you look past the name. They are also violent, and have beaten up Nick Griffin. I'm not BNP, but is it right the government support and fund an organisation that goes round beating people up who they don't agree with? People would be rolling in their graves.

Fantastic news that we'll have the terrace. Loved it last year.
-
Should be a cracker. What is everyone planning? Still need to book somewhere.
-
Some crackers to come. Anyone know if we will have the terrace at P'boro? I f*cking hope so, best stand in the football league! Would make for a great away.
-
How far is it from the ground?
-
I agree the prices are disgusting, but surely the cost of travel to Hull will make it a more expensive away than Leeds?
-
Most who travel, would go to some home games too, also the club get a bit of money through away sales. But the point is AWAY games are different to HOME games. I feel it isn't fair that just because someone has a season ticket, they can show up for 2 big away games and jump ahead of fans you have traveled across the country but don't have a ST. I think most fans would consider trecking 5 hours up to Bolton getting behind the lads, as more 'loyal' than walking to St Marys or whatever. I would like to think a loyalty sytem would reward loyalty. I'd even say you should be awarded a little bit more points for say, north of the midlands. From the club's business point of view, i think if we're in the PL aways matches should be rewarded more than if we stay in the Champ, because there will be plenty of people wanting to pack out SMS for PL football.
-
What do you mean? Surely if you were a northern saint or whatever, you could compensate the fact you can't go to to many home games by going to the aways near you, building up a few points? Although i originally meant you should be given more for an away, sounds obvious, but its the sort of thing the club wouldn't do. I'd think about saying northern aways (if we go up) such as Bolton, Wigan, Newcastle etc, you should be given a bit more compared to an away like Fulham. Got a friend who follows Spurs and they do this i think. In answer to why, surely a 'loyalty points sysem' should reward loyalty.. Also i think the system needs to stop people who go to most aways, but without a ST, missing out over people who want to do a couple of London ones but have a ST.
