450 minutes without a goal at St Mary's, apparently. That's not very good.
-
Some good news. Be nice to score, or even win, though.
-
All of our shots are hit into the ground/kept low recently. Is this because for most of the season we've been blazing it over the bar? Over-correction on the radar?
-
Got to be joking! He hit it right at the keeper! FFS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Cordless is good, as long as the battery has enough life. Unlike our attack.
-
Lift it into the goal. OVER the keeper! GGGAaaahh!!!
-
I have a Bosch. Several years old, still going well. ADAPTS to different conditions. ATTACKS the grass well. SCORES a line nicely on the lowest cut height. Am I making a point?
-
Boufal & Gabbi ready & waiting... ... who's coming off? Tadic Austin (oh!)
-
Still 9th...! Maybe that goal conceded will spur us on to attack attack ATTACK!! or maybe not
-
Hahaha. VvD doesn't!
-
Stoke getting back into it as a result of our inability to score from good positions. We're ok getting TO the box. Scared to go INTO the box. Rather awful IN the box. That's a coaching thing, I'd suggest.
-
... aaaand we're back on. Link 8
-
I got that too. Haha. Any other streams?
-
Shaqiri trying to dive Stoke to a win He's gone down at least 3 times in the last 5 mins, for nothing. Free kick Saints... ... scramble, but no goal.

http://www.feed4u.net/watch/2062261/4/Southampton-FC-vs-Stoke-City.html Link 4 works reasonably for me - bit 'jittery'. Suits our play haha. Actually that's unfair, we're doing ok atm.

Vision & composure needed in the box. Come on, boys: vision & composure. And a shot or two!
-
That was a little too close for comfort.

6-0 win would be nice... gets our goal difference back to '0' for the season, appropriately enough! My team: ---------Forster---------- ---Yoshi-------Stephens-- ---------Romeu---------- ---Tadic---JWP---Boufal- Redmond--Gabbi---JRod -----------Austin--------- Yep, 3 at the back, Austin in goal, FF on penalties duty. Might get some headers on target with Fraser, Jack & Yoshi up front. Just as likely to score as the reverse formation, or whatever our 'normal' line up might be!

careful now! -
Do you think he can do a Lambert, transfer his 'lower league' successes to the PL? If we kept him it'd be great if he could.
-
Sell JRod: since his injury he's just not quite made the grade. Shame, for him and the club. Decent player who has class, but not what we need any more. Sell Gallagher: he's scored some goals for a relegated Championship club. That's not the PL quality we need. Keep Austin & Gabba: they could be a decent combo next season. Long... tough one. Depends on our style of play. His running is scary for opposition defences, especially late in the game when they're tired. But, his finishing is shockingly bad. Play him deeper as a winger, AM or 'No.10'? Maybe if the pressure to score was lifted a little he may switch his radar back on? I think... argh, I don't know!! Keep him at least until January. Buy in another out-and-out striker (who can take penalties!) from the JRod + Gallagher sales. That would give us 3 proper strikers, with some AM options assuming we keep Redmond, Sims, Boufal, Tadic, Hesketh & JWP.

Most people involved with Saints should be equally relieved - I'm not well enough informed to make a reasoned judgement on his employment. I just go by results and style of play as seen on various live streams & tv highlights shows. I wouldn't want my job to be decided by someone with that kind of limited background information! For the same reasons, if he should stay and even make things better next year, I reserve the right to change my mind back again.

An away win is great ... ANY win is great. However, a couple more goals would've been a fairer scoreline on the balance of play & the difference in quality between the two teams. However, We seem to have been a goal or two short in most games this season. Our goal scoring record has not been good, hence we're 9th instead of pushing for 6th or even 5th. We seem to have lacked a cutting edge or a desire, or something. Need VvD back and a manager who can fire up the players - I've crossed over from the 'give him a chance' side to the 'nah, had enough chances' side. Sorry, Claude.

Good save Forster. Boro are all over us! Ooh should have been 3-1 up, JRod just wide.
