Twice off the line! What the actual F?!
-
One goal lifts us 4 places. Tell the players, to get some urgency going. Ooh, close from Romeu & Yoshi.
-
Good call after that last shot! Also, why is it that all keepers have their best game of the season against us??
-
Davis! Shoot, ya fanny!
-
We're actually looking pretty threatening in attack... until we shoot/clear. Palace can probably relax at the back.
-
feed4u.net I had to use Link 5.
-
Feels like a cup semi-final in a strange way. Will shape the rest of our season.
-
Thought Palace were going to park the bus for a minute, but glad we got that goal - good time for it, too. Positive start to the 2nd half, another goal and we're up to 9th. Get Long & Redmond running at them. Maybe add Sims for Davis? Hoj for JWP? COYS!
-
Get in! Redmond! 1-1 Finally a dodgy decision going our way.
-
Hmm, another close call not going our way. Has Big Sam 'had a word' with the ref?
-
Eh? No penalty? But then a free kick to Palace? 'Away' ref!
-
That was never a free kick, but it'll lead to a goal... ... ok, corner first... ... phew!
-
How many easy passes did they have before that? Dearie me. 0-1

------------Forster------------------- Cedric---Yoshi---Caceres---Bertrand -------------Romeu------------------ -------Redmond---Ward-Prowse----- --------------Tadic------------------- -------Boufal-----JRod-------------- Subs: McCarthy, Stephens, Davis, Hojbjerg, Long "Attacking Diamond!" I hear you exclaim? Well, why not - Tadic likes it better in the middle, and JWP & Redmond work better as 'inside right/left' type players, it seems. Could always see it as Tadic squeezing between those two? It pains me not to start with Hoj, but Redmond's playing too well at the moment. Maybe try him instead of JWP? Bring Davis on later to shore up defensively, or Hoj on to add to the attack. Gabba injured, Austin injured, VvD injured. Anybody know what's happening with Reed, Targett, Hesketh & Sims.

Southampton 0 Bournemouth 0 - Match & Reactions
5string replied to Pass the Dutchie's topic in The Saints
Is that mentioned in the laws of the game? Goodness! How times change. Would it count as violent conduct... or offering unfair assistance?! -
I'm sure you've got a MOUNTAIN of clues to lead us to the answer...

My opinion: Both Mings & Zlatan probably meant their actions. Zlatan's was worse because I think he pre-meditated it, whereas Mings just took an opportunity in the moment. Both deserved long bans for shocking behaviour on the field. I mean, who does that? ...apart from The9 (post 23) Zlatan's ban should have been longer than Mings's. FA opinion/reasoning (possibly): Intent is hard to prove in both these cases. A stamp is worse than an elbow. Stamp offence gets longer ban than elbow offence. Barcelona: PSG were pathetic. Barcelona played well, even though I thought they'd given up after PSG scored. Neymar's free kick gave them hope again. Officials did ok, except for that late penalty & 5 added minutes (should have been 2 or 3).

Done. Good luck with your work.

Just watched MotD. 4 goals. 3 points. Seems good to me. Apart from switching off our defensive mode for their 3rd, I'd say we were never in danger of losing. I'm not being arrogant, just the way we played (based on those highlights) it looked that way. Redmond's getting better, isn't he?

I don't think retrospective action for on-field decisions is possible at the moment, much though I'd like there to be some form of justice served here. And who's to say Utd wouldn't have been fired up by conceding an early goal and thumped us 5-1? Like City v Huddersfield in the FA Cup last night. However, I seem to remember someone once mentioned the idea of captains having, say, a couple of referrals during the match (like the DRS in cricket). Referees could also have video referrals introduced. Surely we have the technology now! Admittedly, sports like rugby and cricket are more stop-start, with natural gaps in play when referrals can take place, but surely football could introduce something similar. It's not like there aren't pauses in play for corners, goal kicks, substitutions, etc.

I like this team, but I'd start JRod instead of Redmond.

http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/match-reports/manchester-united-3-2-southampton-9920930 For once, I agree with most of this msm report. Except for the De Gea bit (he just made saves you'd hope FF would make).

Not sure if this is a serious question or tongue-in-cheek, but in case it is serious... ... Gabbiani wasn't offside when the ball was played to him, he was level. Bertrand (I think it was him?) was offside, but not interfering directly with play. Lino was distracted by that, I imagine, and raised his flag. Incorrectly, in my opinion. Unfortunately, I wasn't the ref. But, hey-ho. I thought Man Utd were playing almost at half pace, even though we were brilliant for most of the game. They stepped up when needed, especially Ibrahimovic, and took their chances. We didn't take a high enough proportion of our chances. Nevertheless, like you I feel very proud of our team, especially coming back from 0-2. Devastated we didn't win.

Just what I feared as soon as our goal was disallowed.
