I've only just found out Frank de Boer is Inter's manager, having been one of our targets (allegedly) in the summer. Would be great to prove a point to him and, I suppose, add credibility to us (and the board) for the decision to go with Puel and not pursue de Boer too vehemently.

... and the 80s, the 70s... (that's as far as I go)

10% strike rate. 50 shots per match and other sides will be quaking
-
Are we the only club in the world that has squeaky bum time with a 2-goal cushion and 10 minutes to go? Against a rather poor Burnley. Probably
-
I missed the 1st half. Sounds like Burnley had a good shout. We should be able to get a couple more [goals, not pens] here.
-
As much a penalty as ours.
-
Think we'll see JRod for more of the same? Even if individuals don't rub it in, the club could!
-
Interesting to see England vs Matt Le Tissier on ITV at the moment. I know he was good, but ...?
-
This is true. However, are there players that, if they were left out, would leave us worried? For example, the defence without VvD or Forster would be a slight concern.
-
He's been learning from Michael Owen.

I remember Cranie as a primary school footballer in Yeovil. Class act, much potential and you could see even then he could've/would've/should've been a regular top player (whatever 'top' means these days). Pleasant friendly lad, too. Shame he didn't make it further at Saints - the 'own goal on debut' tag was unfortunate & rather unfair. Anyway, back to Hesketh. Shame he didn't come on today v WHam. Would have been a great PL game for him to see if he could make an impact in the last 10 mins. I'm sure we'll see him in more PL games before too long, though. Looks like an exciting prospect.

Cedric? Not quite shown his best IMO. I agree with the rest, though. Hojbjerg is a fantastic acquisition.
-
Good performance from the team, fantastic away win. My opinions: Forster - not much to do, but what he did, he did it well VvD - his usual stand-out performance, won just about every ball. Fonte - played better than most of his games so far this season. Bertrand - excellent, gave WHam lots to worry about with solid defending and swift attacking. Cedric - Our least effective player today, dodgy at times, poor crossing, just 'ok' overall. Romeu - I worried when he was booked early, but had a good game & kept himself out of trouble thereafter. Hojbjerg - excellent as well, showed skill and vision, could have had a couple of goals. Davis - better today, got involved more visibly, nice set-up for JWP's goal Tadic - very good, nice to see him swap sides, still our main creative player, lovely goal. Redmond - ran lots, some good play, but not as obvious as previous games, better as he mainly played out wide (as I think he should). Austin - definitely a star in the box, good goal & involved in 'team assist'. subs JWP - looked up for it, glad he got a good goal. Long - well-timed sub, finished WHam off with his running Cuco - did well with his limited time, happy birthday to him! My MoM: Bertrand, although it could have been several including Hojbjerg, Tadic, VvD..... ok, maybe Austin as well.
-
That's it, JWP MoM for me... cos he scored. Just using Sky criteria. Good win, clean sheet, etc etc. Nice one, fellas!
-
How has the pundit given Austin MoM??!! Bertrand or Tadic for me. Hojbjerg also high on the 'had a good game' list. YEESSSS! 3-0
-
Whoof! Great effort from Hoj.
-
Haha what a div! He said it as they showed Wham fans walking out
-
Looks like someone did get a card for too much 'chat' - Arbeloa I think.
-
Yes for me. Long on for Austin. Also, Clasie for Romeu and Hesketh for Tadic. Ooh, that could've been a penalty for handball.
-
Shoot earlier! Should have been 3-0
-
If this counts as a meltdown, bring on more!
-
YASS! Nice to come back after dinner in time for a goal. Nice finish from a good move
-
What was I saying? GET IN AUSTIN!!!
-
Zaza looking dangerous for Wham. Need to keep him quiet. Be nice if Austin was looking as dangerous for us...
-
Yeah he needs to shut up and get on with playing.
