  1. They wanted to rule it as offside. They couldn't see the ball and the player to show it clearly, so they've made some nonsense up about Armstrong to justify it. Simple as that. We were never getting that goal.
  2. Not sure they can see the ball and the player to draw the lines. They thought it was off, so they were looking for a reason to rule it out - hence the Armstrong ruling. Farcical.
  3. Surely offside. Thought that when it went in. Plus ofc we need var to screw us over again 😅. Superb by dibling again though. How good is this kid!
  4. Tried are hardest to not score there 🤣 Great play by dibling again though.
  5. Not just Martin. Sports republic as well. They've gutted the club whilst spending hundreds of millions... But they basically sold off all the valuable assets at this point - imagine how things will get when the money is gone.
  6. This is a training game for Brighton. We can be thankful they aren't really in the mood.
  7. It's half time vs Brighton - anyone willing to state an argument in his defence?
  8. This is worse than any 9-0. We aren't in this game. There is no belief, no system... We've turned up to lose and are just playing for time whilst it happens. And that is entirely on Martin. He picked this team, he set them up, he's left it unchanged for the first 30min when the entire fanbase can see how appallingly bad we are. Just a joke. Or maybe this is the players finally saying they want him out. They sure as hell aren't playing for him today.
  9. I want him gone after this game. There is just no excuse for this fucking awful setup. It's almost like he didn't think we could win so wanted an excuse for losing. Just a total joke tonight.
  10. 5 defenders, and we allow the Japanese winger to drift in and score an unmarked stooping header. Martin needs to go. This is beyond shocking.
  11. God help us if we actually score. Brighton will wake up and actually slaughter us 😂
  12. Why did we rush that free kick by our own corner flag when we were under pressure. That is just demented. It basically led straight to that wellbeck header...
  13. He isn't alone. Martin has clearly failed to give them any kind of structure at the back. Only saving grace is we're so bad and essentially harmless that we're lowering Brighton's standards 🤣😂
  14. It's really unfortunate we know absolutely nothing about rutter isn't it?
  15. The only question tonight is what kind of mood are Brighton in. Do they want a comfortable 3-0 win with their slippers on in front of the fire, or do they want to murder us.
  16. 7min in and I would say it's fucking blindingly obvious that the back 5 do not know what they're meant to be doing, who they're covering, who to mark, when to step up etc. Where each other are... Just appalling.
  17. Should be 1-0
  18. Lovely one touch break up field by Brighton there. Ominous start.
  19. Martin wants a Christmas pay off?
  20. My goodness. Even the pundits are openly laughing at saints' getting their pass completion stats up. Ffs.
  21. This is not going to go well 🤣

Inclined to agree. Its not just on him as SR have blocked pathways and allowed the best kids to leave... but the fact Dibling can school the best defensive players in the prem on a frankly routine basis but couldn't get a game last year in the champ is beyond a joke. Thats one hell of a transformational summer for the lad... 🙄.

Exactly this. Dibling is superb and i'm glad we got to see him play, but we've lost so many others. JJM and Gomes represent huge failures by the club (particularly the latter). Whats happened with the youth academy on their watch is shocking - its a core characteristic of the football club and part of the fans bond with the team that we will develop and bring though exciting young players. It shows a fundamental lack of understanding of the club and fans that they do not grasp this - but sadly, they seem more interested in signing players like Wellington (for Goztepe 🙄) than they are in keeping and developing a top top talent like Gomes - and to lose him for peanuts with minimal compensation (as he moved abroad) is doubly poor. Ditto the likes of Meghoma and co - why couldn't we have used the multi club model to develop them rather than losing them on the cheap to replace them with mercenaries that have no loyalty to the club and are on higher wages anyway...

That's partly because SR have failed to keep any of his peers from that u18s team. A real travesty given we'd finally managed to rebuild the academy after the league 1 and championship years.
  25. Agreed!!! Attacking players where i consider we've wasted money (for what we've got) and that we've signed during the time period where we have been linked to Delap... Mara (shocking buy), Onuachu (i actually think there is a player in there for us), BBD (cheaper but you get what you pay for), Archer (might come good eventually but hasn't yet), Sulemana (extortionate amount of money for what he's returned) Ross Stewart (shocking buy), Orsic - see BBD, cornet (wages - pointless loan), Delap has 6 goals... isn't that at least as many as the above have all contributed as well? Note - it doesn't have to be delap that we signed... any reasonable striker would have sufficed!!!!
