USA really doing a good first half against Spain but Spain has some serious quality going forward. Deulofeu and Jese is not players I would say no to.... 2-0 now, cant blame Cropper. Great finish by Deulofeu.

It´s not as defensive as it used to be but not a free flowing high scoring league either. (and they have the highest rate of 0-0 games) There were 5 player this season that recorded 0,5 goal/game or better. (of those with a decent amount of games), and Osvaldo was one of those. 16 goals in 29 games. The other were Cavani, Di Natale, Klose and Pazzini.....(and then you had Balotelli with stunning 12 goals in 13 games of course)

Might be a footballing decision too. Wasn´t it 45 min games? Those usually dont give a lot of answers footballing wise for the manager.

This is a lineup with 6/7 defensive minded players....(depending of which category you put Schneiderlin in, for me more of a defensive player though) Cant see it work out imho.

He´s pretty much 11-12th pick at Uruguay so he will be in and out of the team from game to game. Very good against France, decent against Spain. We should be happy, if he had fantastic games maybe some teams would go in for him and we would lose him. He will be immense next year.

I´ve said it for a while that Osvaldo would be my dream signing. (if you look at players that might be in reach for us now). Fantastic striker that scores all types of goals. A bit of a nutcase yes but many players of that level are and when he played under MP in Espanyol there were never any problems at all. But as some of you´ve said, he probably dont want to come here at the moment. £15m would be a fair price for him and very good business for us IMO.

In the style of play Banega is pretty close to Gerrard IMO but maybe just a bit slower. Great passer both short and long, good shot and set pieces but can also dig in and tackle and do the defensive work.

Agree but I think in some cases the players we have at the moment are waiting to see what comes in to see if they would stand a chance or not grabbing a shirt. And probably because of holidays some of them aren´t available for talks with the manager about their future at the club.

That´s a shame. Osvaldo would easily score 15-20 goals for us.
