What was that.....did someone say youtube?? Ok......I know it´s youtube but this clip is from one game and that makes it a bit different IMO. If you dont like the small parts of it like a bit of dribbling, passing, tackling etc be sure to dont miss at 4:35.....

He´s a CM mainly but is often used as ACM in Valencia. A similar player to Juan Mata with a great touch and technique. Lacks a bit of pace but is really good finding space for himself. Would really help our set pieces too. Likes to drift out wide left and cut in so not impossible to play him on the left of the 3 in a 4-2-3-1 IMO.

That sentence dont work out though. If we dont do well the players like Shaw would leave, and that would also go for Clyne and probably JRod if he continues tto develop.

Gaston played 75+ minutes 12 times this year......... 16 times last year.......and that´s only stats from league games, not national team games where he though is more or less 12th player and coming on as the first sub more than starting so far...

About the system MP wants to play though I think we really only seen the defensive side of it with the pressure and for some extent regarding the attacking that we have retained a lot of possession but when you look back at the most succesful season at Espanyol they played mostly 4-2-3-1 as we do. But they played with different type of wingers. Most used was Callejon and Luis Garcia (not the Liverpool one) and they are the kind of pacey wingers that Gaston would benefit a lot from. Cutting in behind the defense, between CB and Full backs preferably. Neither Lallana or Puncheon is that kind of player, only JRod in some extent imo. It´s all about pace and that´s what we need to add to the squad.

Gaston fits our system without problem, that´s not the issue IMO. And why he loses control of the ball at midfield at times is very much because his teammates dont make runs to give him the right option to pass the ball, either on a teammates feets or in behind the defenders. And you will always have some loss of the ball with this kind of player, high risk but when it works it gives you also high reward. Anyone thinking he doesn´t fit the system should go to Saints player and watch extended highlights against Everton at home....

Lovren has been linked to Liverpool (but what player hasn´t), Chelsea and some other teams, including us in january or was it last summer? Really good player, surprised to see that he only played 18 games in Ligue 1 this year according to transfermarkt and no mentioned injuries.... Would take him in a heartbeat!

Agree that if we let Punch go then someone is already lined up......Not sure if he´s good for the team unless he´s playing regurly and for some reason I dont see that. Especially if we´re gonna push up the table...
