£18m would be a little to much, if it´s €18m it´s IMO maximum they would get for him. He´s had a very good season but is 29 and has not played in the national team since 2010. (I know it´s Germany and the competition is extremely hard but that still adds value if he would be in the national team). For me it´s a very good signing for maximum £10-12m, otherwise I´m not so sure.

Agree, just that he started out in his career relieing on his pace. But as I said I agree with you in general but that there will always be some great exceptions and to compare players with Sheringham and the likes will always fall short.....

Enzo Perez, could be worth a punt.... Aimar, not very likely and free agent so no need to make inquiry to the club.... I would like Salvio but think Perez is more likely if we cant get Nainggolan or Wanyama....

Personally I think Cortese has more than £30m to spend. I think it might be the original transfer budget + what ever he got after talks with Liebherr. Have a sneaky feeling he will get two big names in + 3-4 players in £4m-8m range.....and that the spending will be close to £50m in total...
