No, I´m too old to remember unfortunately But yes I have a different perspective living in Sweden, those years you were happy too be able to see the team play 2 or 3 times a season. Of course he can be one of the best players that has played for us, just that I have a different view if it´s a good signing or not for us.
-
In 94-95 there weren´t many games shown here in Sweden so no I probably saw him play 2 or 3 times. But still 17 games are too few for me to be a succesful signing IMO. But hey, just an opinion...
-
Well, I thought at first he was a succesful signing but found some stats that he only played 17 games. If that stats are true I can never call a player a succesful signing for the club. He can still have a great short spell but as a signing I would like to have more out of a player than 17 games before calling it a succesful signing... If those stats are false on the other hand, I´m with you....... Dont remember if he was broguht in late some season to save our PL status? If so I´m ready to change my view......

No, we scouted, they bought him in that case. Completely the other way around

Depends if this link would be close to the truth or not, but dont know what tax rate there is in Spain... £37,5k per week before tax according to this.....figures for other players seems about right to me. And with his injury history now he would probably need to lower his demands if he wanna get his career going again.. http://www.nsno.co.uk/forums/index.php?topic=37969.0

Ibrahim Afellay? Would be available for about £3m according to Gary Linton. Has had some injuries but I would love to take that gamble for that kind of money...
-
Well there must be some sort of recognition if Manchester United has been scouting him.....?
-
Scandinavians.....like Mikael Nilsson och Andreas Jakobson?? Yeah yeah I know, Lundekvam/Svensson/Svensson/Ostenstaad weigh that up. Tessem for me was not a success but a decent squad player at the time, Ekelund could have been a smashing success but in reality weren´t. Remember Soltvedt, Johansen, Madsen, Steensgaard ?? Forren we dont know yet.......so maybe not so generally succesful but a decent result from them but I guess a good 50% ratio on signings wouldn´t be close to success for some on this forum considering how they rate our last 2 transfer windows... And before you say it, Niemi isn´t scandinavian
-
It may have a slight difference but I think the recognition we´ve got the last few months for our way of playing has increased our status when it comes to attract players, compared to other teams in the lower half of the table.

I understood him better than both Moyes and Ferguson
-
Samba, never ever for that price. He would have to cut his wages with 70% to be interesting..... Remy, the only obvious for me. Mcmanaman perhaps but dont know if a good 10-game stint is enough to convince me, he´s been great those games though.....for the right price yes but having thought about it I think he will be overpriced this summer.....
-
If he had less than 50% of all votes something is wrong. By far Player of the season.
-
You too. We might not have the same opinions at times but we can still discuss as normal grown-ups.
-
i really am not, but thanks anyway Yeah I watch too much, at least some of the leagues but dont ask me of lower leagues in England, dont know squat there....
-
not for me, too inconsistent to bring him at this point. We can/should do better.
-
or watching him for about 15 games this season.... oh that´s only me? damn, gotta get a life....
-
Europa League will be devastating for them, cant have a squad big enough in the Championship to be able to compete in Europe AND in the Championship. Birmingham did good in europe last time but finally that caught up to them in the league at home...

Tough. Winning the FA Cup but never get to celebrate it for real for Wigans players....

He´ll be arriving under a guard of honour

Saints come 5th in Public Transport League Table
Olallana replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Maybe they think it will be better next year?? -
it´s public, anyone can open it, just click the number for each option up right and you´ll open it yourself.

And the only journos really trying to make it sound big is the ones that broke the story....not that any journo ever would have their own interest in mind.....
