I dont really get all this "if he doesn´t wanna play for the club then f*ck him" statements... Let´s not kid ourself and think that foreign players will think "yes it´s always been my dream to play for Southampton" when we approach them. We dont have that kind of history that foreign players will feel that way. If we were Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal or clubs in that bracket we might, but were not them. I dont even think we will find many players in England that would feel that by the way. If we want to attract good foreign players we will have to give them a good bid first to make them somewhat interested and then we can talk about "the project" and the ambitions but it´s a normal first reaction that players will think that we are not their first choice. I am sure we will be able to attract good players but it will rarely be a case when we can offer something and the player straight away will accept it. Football players as everyone else have the right to negotiate their wages, it´s up to the clubs to decide if they think it´s worth it.

IMO he´s definitely worth £12m at this stage due to the type of player he is and potential shown so far. If it was a tricky and pacey winger you could easier say that maybe the league is so bad that the player looks good but not for this type of player IMO. Like De Ridder that looked great running circles around opposition, but that was in a bad league so the step was too big for him to make when he came here.

All the PM talks make me feel like teaming up with Alex Crook on this one...

A lot of talk now about Wanyama that his agent dont think he gets enough from us. And I love that our club doesn´t pay over the top for agent fees. And why should clubs do that? If a player has a agent he should be regard as the players employee, shouldn´t he? Yes, wishful thinking I know. But does anyone have a good clue about when this whole thing started? I seem to recall that George Graham got charged with something relating to agents, but maybe I´m wrong? Did it all start because managers thought they find a way to get a part of the money involved in signing fees etc? We all know Mr Houdini likes them and is willing to pay a lot to them.... Ok, I´m gonna stop here....too many thoughts that I cant get down in writing in a good way.....

Hmm I see that´s correct. I only looked at the tv schedule and here in Sweden the games are shown the same time on Eurosport 1 & 2. Well I´ll be watching Uruguay then and 2nd half of the England game.
