To be fair, Serie A has a bigger/better reputation in Brazil than PL.... Living in Brazil isn´t the calmest non-criminal environment so I dont think that part of living in Naples would scare him. But as long as there are hope I will continue hoping that he joins us. It´s not like he has been or even now is Napoli´s first choice.

Bif of a curveball that Everton comes into the picture......

True but they would be stuck out wide in a system like this and Ramirez were used wide a bit by MP too but I can agree. Banega is used to playing holding midfielder so he can go into that position with Ramirez more as CAM and then you have Lallana/Puncheon/New winger come in here and that would still leave Cork out. I´m first to admit it´s very harsh on Cork, but I think MP wants holding midfielder with a better range of passing which I dont think is Corks strength....

Spider - Wanyama Ramirez - Banega - JRod Could be a lot of interchanging where Banega can drop down when one of Spider/Wanyama surge forward. All three AM can also interchange, switch flanks during games and so on. Ramirez more free from defensive duties, Spider covers right side with Clyne, Banega falling down covering center with Wanyama.... But, where does everything leave Cork then..??

I´d rather bye Berries for £12m.

Back on the HCDAJFU topic. Juan Bernat, Valencia. Plays LM/LW normally in Valencia but has in the U20 World Cup played LB so he can be cover in that position too. Wouldn´t cost too much... I throw in a youtube video right away to save time... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_2U0lMGzJRQ

Seems like Napoli is trying to hijack Gotze from fiorentina that he supposedly has chosen... http://www.gianlucadimarzio.com/calciomercato/napoli-rilancio-per-mario-gomez-fiorentina-su-yilmaz/ Naples, revival for Mario Gomez. Fiorentina Yilmaz The Napoli sling on Mario Gomez. It 'a story of Manuel Baiocchini. The company blue would be pressing for the German striker, although the sporting director of Bayern Monaco has revealed that the player has chosen Florence. If the offer of Naples were, however, shake Gomez, Fiorentina have already decided who to bet. It's Burak Yilmaz, Galatasaray striker. Have been proposed 5-year contract to 3 million plus 500,000 bonus. The Turkish company asks 15 million and is not willing to make concessions, but Fiorentina will try to lower the cost. All this, if Gomez will choose Naples.

Celtic play today but it doesn´t mean anything particularly if Wanyama isn´t playing today. He´s been back in training for just 3 days and even if he would stay at Celtic he wouldn´t play a game that soon.....
-
Anyone would of course be brilliant. Short term I think Banega would give us something that we dont have from CM position and he would help us tremendously in the set pieces. Long term Wanyama is probably the better "business" cause I think his alue would only increase in the coming years and might be the better player in 3-4 yrs compared to Banega.... Tough choice really so to make it all easier, bring them both in (temporarily blind and read the OP to choose Wanyama or Banega)

What do you think Lukaku would cost considering Chelsea paid £18m, he had a great season and is still very young?? At what price do you think a club like Chelsea would be tempted to sell...?
-
Are you saying maybe we could throw Hooiveld and Fox into the deal to lower the price?
-
Isn´t the biggest difference between them at age 17-18 how strike the ball...? Already in that age Bale was good at freekicks etc and I dont think Luke is anywhere near that now and therefore he probably will be more of that overlaping type of fullback as Baines rather than moving forward to a Bale position...
-
So work permits you say.....that means a non-european then
-
Go for next brazil....Bernard
-
If we get the three in that´s been talking about I can see this scenario. Boruc Clyne - Lovren - Yoshida - Shaw Schneiderlin - Wanyama Ramirez - Banega - Rodriquez Damiao Ramirez would have a bit more of a "free" role. Defensively Schneiderlin/Wanyama would go wide right to provide Cover for Clyne and Banega dropping back in the middle cause he´s actually very good in that role too.
-
Yep Rodgers love Lukas Leiva and he has "his own" Allen in the spot too
-
Not a PM but here you go.
-
Having those player on the book is rather the price of quick success that took us through the Championship first year.

I agree. And that´s what Ramirez gave us this last season, but that didn´t help his reviews amongst a lot of people on this board though. (Not that their opinion are important but still) Just wanted to make the point of using "ifs" in discussions really.
-
IF he scores 30 goals so yes he would be seen as a fantastic signing. (just a point that the "ifs" is the wrong way to discuss things IMO)
-
That he shoots a lot and therefore is a perfect fit...
