Seems like we´re always mentioned for any player that has interest from Premier League.... Very unlikely though that we would be in for him IMO.

on extended leave til next week...

Yep, but they dont have a sugardaddy

There is no way Sociedad will splash the money and buy Schneiderlin. First off, their biggest signing ever is in the £4m bracket. We all know that Cortese would never sell for less than £15m (or even that perhaps). Sociedad got a lot of money from Illaramendi yes but they wont splash it on one player. They have a policy to buy cheap and try to sell expensive that wont change over a night. Those money they got will keep them financed 3-5 yrs now and what they achieve with their policy is quite admirable. Banega for under £10m is a coup and it´s like it been said probably Davis that will find hard to get his place in the team.

Get it done quick, dont need this to go on for days!!

Seems like he wants to go to Man City but they are looking at other players like Jovetic and even Ibra is a rumour now. Dzeko is staying so I dont think they will pursuit Osvaldo leaving him with one less option. Atletico Madrid was mentioned a couple of weeks ago but they have signed others now like Villa so that´s no option any more for him too.... It´s a waiting game at the moment but pressure from Roma directors are there and they want a quick solution of it.... And if we want a domino effect to get him interested I think Banega is the guy we should bring in.

Any news on Damiao, anyone, anything? ok then..

Why not just sign Bernard in front of Spurs, Liverpool and others
-
Well, a midfield 5 in a 4-2-3-1 to choose from Schneiderlin, Wanyama, Banega, Cork, Ramirez, Lallana, JWP, Davis, JRod, Puncheon..... Looks quite nice...

I think the main aspect in Banegas game they want is his passing ability and one to play that through pass. Spider and Cork has a tendency to play around the opposition out wide to full backs or the wide midfielder. They rarely play that through pass on the feet of Lambert or Gaston in the spece between oppositions defenders and midfielders.

I can see some variations of the front 6. Spider - Wanyama Jrod - Banega - Gaston Lambert/New striker Spider - Wanyama Banega - Lambert - Gaston New Striker We wouldn´t have players that beat their defender out wide but not sure MP is looking for that. I think he want Clyne and Shaw to participate and coming down the flanks. In both formations the 3 would do a lof of interchanging and I can also see Banega take a step down with Spider moing forward. The two wide players in the 3 would be cutting in a lot but also do the interchanging in the game.... Very harsh on Cork though but he will get his games too. If we have the opportunity to bring in a player of Banega´s class it would be stupid to not do it.....

The story of Zenit is a bit weird if the player prefers PL. And I can´t think of many players that has gone to Russia and then be picked to the national team in the World Cup. There´s probably a few Brazilians but not many from the top european national teams. If he came to us and scored 15+ goals during a PL season I would say his chances to be in the World Cup would be bigger.... I think the saga will continue, dont think our Don has throwed in the towel just yet....
-
It was an assessment of his over all performances, not just the scoring part. At 22-23 he still had trouble to get in the starting lineup so that´s why I have that opinion.
-
Of course, that´s how the game works these days. But this also protect the club to get a significant fee if the day comes when he wants to leave.

I´m gonna protect BBC a bit for the picture. I´ve seen that picture in a few Luke Shaw articles so I suspect someone on a picture agency has tagged the picture with the wrong name and then it pops up in different articles....(embarrassing though)

Quite a week this....
-
loosen a button Luke!
-
to quote Piers Morgan.... BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!
-
Very off topic, but what do you think of this pose when Real Sociedad presented their new strip... Are they taking a p***??
-
Yep, good way of putting it for those who dont know just how big he is in Rome... To understand it you probably have to go there for a game or two....it´s hard to understand how big he is there.
-
The latest link on Hoopar I saw today was QPR with a £5m bid. What would Celtic fans think if he went THERE when they think Wanyama did such a bad choice....?
-
Agree, not the key point but I think he would be loved big time if he comes here and plays up to his ability. In Rome he scored a hattrick once and was booed off by the fans when he got subbed.....says it all.
