Looking at what´s happened so far in the transfer window it´s always a bit fun to speculate which teams that have improved (on paper and in opinions of course) and which has declined. For me it´s like this if I would put 3 in each category and NOT selecting from the top 6..... Improved: Norwich Aston Villa Saints Declined West Bromwich Newcastle Stoke I am also a bit unsure about Swansea, I think they might drop down a few places in the table this year cause I think they are changing too many players + they will have big expectations on them. Not that they would go down but I can see them ending up 12-13th and that would be a disappointment this year. Sunderland is another tricky one, they are also changing too much imo and I think their main loss is loosing Mignolet. Mannone is decent but not in Mignolet´s class imo.

In a way that is positive cause earlier it has said that Osvaldo dont even want to consider it. Man C is no longer an option and I dont know if there is any other option than us for him if he wants to go to Premier League. The only club I can think of that would interest him is Spurs but I think their new sports director Baldini dont fancy him since he knows firsthand what was going on in Roma...

If we´re looking in Catania I´d rather have Alejandro Gomez. But neither of these two can really be a target for us cause they dont have a european passport so would have problem to get work permit IMO.

Alderweireld would be a great addition. But have we ever been linked to him from some more reliable source??

If he´s been there for 7 years he was here before Cortese. Will they go out and also be open for someone from Italy/Spain or so? Probably IMO.

I´m gonna bring an old name out that I´ve been mentioning before.... Ibrahim Afellay. Barcelona want to get rid, has like some others that been mentioned linked to us had a bad season (or two) behind him but definitely has great potential and would probably be very cheap at this moment. I dont know his physical status with his last injury though....

Not boring at all mate. If we only would sign one player this window this is the guy for me. As I´ve said a couple of times, I´m sure he would be a 20+ goalscorer if we had him playing 34-38 games in the league. He is THAT good and would suit our style better than any other striker IMO.

Dont you think that it´s easier for players to come into the group and not be a disturbance if the team spirit is what Fonte is saying?

Can´t see him in that role myself. Think he will be one of the 3 in a 4-2-3-1 where the three move a lot and interchange. Or that he would be on of the top 2 in a 4-2-2-2 formation. I really hope we have two different formations this year depending on who we play, we were a little bit too predictable last year IMO.

I think his hope going to Man City is closed very soon. Seems like they´re wrapping up both Jovetic and Negredo this week. Good news....
