  1. Was that your 2nd or 3rd post of the day? You might have one more try to answering a simple question like that today.
  2. Do you really think a manager standing on the sidelines and screaming has that big effect on players? Why weren´t Di Canio or Stuart Pearce successful then?
  3. The point is, the main target is to finish as high as we can in the league. It is said on every press conference cause practically every week some journo asks about that and always get the same answer, we take one game at a time and the target is to finish as high as we can. That does not mean we dont care about cup games but we will not risk players that aren´t 100% fit in cup games unless we are forced to and we might switch another one, two or three players. If the squad was strong enough it can handle that, and saturdays team was more than enough to have a chance of winning that game. It was a game we lost because players didn´t perform. But sometimes you have to lose a battle to win the war, and our war is to finish as high as we possibly can in the league, with all what that means for the clubs reputation when we want to progress. It´s not like we have that many top 8 finishes in PL so I dont really understand all this "we have nothing to play for in the league" chat....
  4. Please find me a manager that will come out and say that the cup is more important than the league or show me a teamsheet where no players have been rotated to the cup game. Even the biggest clubs will say that the league is more important than Champions ****in League. It´s not history or anything, it´s what it looks like in year 2014 and has done so for a long while...
  5. I´m amazed that so many of our fans want the manager to spend time with Alex Goring Cook and Simon Peach rather than spending it with his team...
  6. Lots of reasons, who knows.... Fatigue, 3rd game in 8 days where the first two was played in the heaviest condition possible, niggles and light injuries, illness. It all comes down to the same conclusion. The team that was out there should be good enough to beat that Sunderland side. They didn´t and it falls down to performance, not team selection. Good night.
  7. That there might be good reasons for the switches in the team that was made?
  8. Actually the point is that we dont know why. Most people judge on that no info, I give another view what MIGHT be the case instead of judging over things we dont know the facts about.
  9. One question, a very easy yes or no one. Do you think the team that was put out there should be good enough to beat the Sunderland that was out there?
  10. Did we play a weakened team if were looking from a point where every player would be in form and 100% fit with no fatigue, yes. Unfortunately that was not the situation and very rarely is.
  11. And that is why I said that fans are fickle and egoistic and only thinking of now now now. Managers cant afford that and they have to think of a bigger picture. I guess most fans that think we played a weakened side are on that we should have played Cork/Schneiderlin, am I right? Well to them I will say that it was our 3rd game in 8 days, the first two played in the heaviest conditions possible and CM is the position that requires the most in football in general and in our system specifically. Why does it not make sense then to rotate that position and bring in two players that were starters at the beginning of the season that made the team go up to third in the league?
  12. There were 2 (TWO) players that could be considered as rested. (one if Boruc was ill as some reports have said). Fonte and JRod not 100% fit. Cork = Wanyama. If the players fell frustrated it was because they performed like sh*t, and that is what all of them has been saying in all interviews afterwards..
  13. Well fans are fickle and quite egoistic to only think of now now now, managers has to think in other ways and we still dont know anything about his physical status. What the team thinks, well you tell me cause I haven´t seen or heard anything but that they think their own performance were well below par...?
  14. Well put it this way, it wasn´t one of his better performances this season imo. And that sub doesn´t change the basics of the game that it was more down to players performance rather than poor selections since we rotated very minimal.
  15. Bad performance? Fatigue? I dont buy that it was because club or manager didn´t care about the game. If it was SO, why did our most creative player start?
  16. As I said, I dont see that it was apathetic or any different to any league game. He was by the sideline at times, sat down at times and giving instructions to players at times. Just like any other game.
  17. Cause the management has done that for every cup game and I think it´s quite laughable to suggest that a thing like that would affect the players.... Lallana has been taken off in league games when we were trailing yes. But just because things dont happen in other games, why cant they happen in a game like yesterday? Not all games are played and managed the same way, why should yesterday be any different...?
  18. Lallana didn´t do very much during 83 minutes so maybe it was therefor or was he running out of steam perhaps from playing 3 games in 8 days? Regarding Gallagher I dont know but I´m sure that with everything that has happened to the boy the last few weeks the club made the judgement that this was best for him. Maybe he had to be part of funeral arraignments or anything else surrounding his fathers death....who knows but I will never speculate that he should be involved with the team this weekend if the club has decided it was best for him to stay at home....
  19. Dont ever see him screaming much. And I see a lot of gallery pictures of him by the sideline yesterday. Any difference from the norm?
  20. The manager equivalent to "at least Daivd Prutton gave a fight cause he ran around a lot". Only football dinosaurs thinks that players fight more because some manager is standing by the sidelines screaming. Or maybe Di Canio and Stuart Pearce should be considered as manager wizards.......I mean they stood by the sidelines and screamed a lot...??
  21. I dont think the side was weak, if anything not any weaker than the Sunderland side and I dont buy the humbug about if we only played them or those. Team was selected, should´ve been more than enough to beat Sunderland yesterday, they didn´t because they performed like sh*t.
  22. I will put my disappointment in the right direction and I´ve said numerous times that the performance was sh*te. That is down to the players, cause the team that was put out there would/should be more than enough to beat that Sunderland side. We basically rested one or two players (depending if the reports of Boruc being ill is correct or not).
  23. Do you honestly think any players in the squad think so little about their teammates that they blaim the manager when he picks a few others? That team yesterday should´ve been more than enough to beat the Sunderland side and players can only blaim themself.
  24. They should blame their teammates then.
  25. There is one club driven by the fans we all are aware of........say no more.
