You claim that you KNEW that despite him staying on for at least 2,5 yrs more? Yes, you really really know things....just another proof of that here.....

While I agree with this, I´m thinking about another scenario too. What if they get on a run (seems very unlikely now though unfortunately) where they could finish 4th if they beat us on the last day but we have the chance to make them miss out on it....?? To miss the 4th spot in a situation like that would hurt them much more than a game determing if they finish 7th or 8th...

I´m sensing something controversial from Clattenburgh tonight..

I think it´s more of a case that many people on this forum know where the team has had it´s weakness and that it therefor is encouraging to see Yoshidas performances with Lovren out. The performances are not of the kind that would stand out to a neutral looking at the game though but for a CB to be MOTM you either need to score or be in the team that gets dominated but you defend well and it´s rarely these days that we are getting dominated to make it a stand out performance from a CB.

Davis MOTM followed by Yoshida in my book.

Hull has only lost three times at home out of 12.....granted one of those was against Man United but still....

No Gallagher unfortunately but understandable..

I wish there was a video of this... -
Are we a striker short? Yes. Should that make us go out and sign just anyone? No.

The club said that both Gaston and Dejan would be out 6-8 weeks, announced the last week of the transfer window. Now it looks like they could be back a lot earlier...... Could it be that the club wanted to keep Gaston and fought off possible clubs that wanted him on loan until the summer by saying that he would be out for so long, while they actually knew he might be back earlier..? Just a thought since he showed progression in the right way the last month and from MP´s comments about him being an important part of the team...
-
I´m sure that the club looked for possible signings but either found no player that would fit at the moment or that a player that might have fit in wasn´t available. Cant say that I want any of those player that other clubs signed actually. (Within reach so Mata isn´t one of those of course) In our position now it would´ve made no sense for the club taking in for example Ince on loan for 6 months. Would have stopped our own young players progression and wouldn´t have any impact on our season imo.

So in the matter of importance for a goalkeeper, how would you rank shot stoping vs kicking? 50/50?
-
Tempted to start with Gallagher again. The team played very good against Arsenal with a more mobile striker making runs off the defenders shoulders and stretching the defense a bit. And I´m not sure if Lambert has the legs for 3 games in 8 days and this would give a bit of rest for the game saturday and if needed he can always come on for 25-30 minutes in this game...

No, but still a chance you gotta put away if you want to win games like yesterday...
-
Like Clyne yesterday, those misses can cost...

All over them yes but just putting crosses into the box plays to Fulhams strengths (??) imo...

Will any of you be tracking / keeping an eye on Osvaldo ?

Knock on wood perhaps, but that might be a bit cheeky on Fonte? -

Hits the post on his first touch after coming on as a sub... -

Yes it is so easy to just get players in, go out there and it will all take care of itself... Just look at Arsenal, Liverpool and others.... oh...

Aston Villa is dead average but always seems to find ways to win a few games by their counterattacking. Norwich could be in trouble. Crystal Palace will probably be safe, Pulis defending and some good players going forward is enough this year with so many average teams. Cardiff will go down imo. Hull decent and will stay up. Fulham will go down, too many average and old players. West Brom is in trouble, dont see them having many goals in the side. West Ham, too good to go down, unfortunately. Stoke will stay up but cant really ever see them finish top 10 in the league. Will finish 12-16th 9yrs out pf 10 probably.

And that´s why he the other day were back in the training ground... To be fit for PL it´s not enough to "not look injured" though..
-
What sub do you think he should´ve made? Not much from the bench today that would have improved the team...
-
Brown is a cynical player too slow for the game these days...
-
He has been two times earlier, one of those got rescinded...
