  1. Point taken on the phraseology. The "Who he?" was more of a Private Eye type headline rather than the potentially negative "Who's he?" as you rightly say. I agree with the sentiment that we need some more competition up front especially for McG who seems to be having the usual ego trip associated with youngsters once they get picked for a regular run in the team. Maybe there's not a whole lot out there about this kid. As long as he's not just here to make up the numbers and cost us cash then the addition is welcome. I saw the article which suggested JP wanted rid of Nathan Dyer because he was not motivated (or the reverse logic that this kid is) so maybe that's the root cause of the swap.
  2. You slag!
  3. Doughnuts anyone?
  4. Hopeful 3 points away from home. Will we ever win at home though?
  5. Pardon me SD but I didn't write him off at all in opening up this thread, the premise is even handed and a debate opener. 3 responses in and you've assumed everyone is slagging him off. I was hoping for some enlightenment on the quotes made in the press and any more details on the player so that people can maybe form an opinion. Forums do allow opinions don't they?
  6. Jan apparently tried to sign him when he was coaching in The Netherlands. What was the motivation. Apparently he hasn't set the world alight on loan spells. Maybe someone can shed some light on this shrewd (or crude) decision.
  7. C'mon Saints, keep it out.
  8. F*ck me SJ you beauty.
  9. Hmm. Toothless forwards and lapses in concentration. We're sunk.
  10. Just logging in. Sounds all too familiar.
  11. I think JP will get to grips with this league soon enough and you'll see a blend of possession footy at the back and in the midfield with more quick direct breaks from both areas to forwards who are up the opposing defence's noses, and then with the skill to turn them and run on.
  12. McG does think too much of himself methinks, along with BWP. The latter should be given the heave-ho IMO and the former dropped to the bench for a while. JP needs to have the courage of his convictions in man-management and not give anyone the chance to put themselves before the team. The boy Peckardt wants to play and could pose more of an aerial threat than McG in this league. Try the immobile SJ off the bench if we need to but only if the lad has tried his all and is knackered.
  13. It could very well turn out this way GM. It'll be interesting to see whether or not some of the mega-rich owners will stay on board if Platini has his way and curbs the excessive spending of the few based on ridiculous and unsustainable levels of debt that they have. Cheats he called them. If these guys cant win with their playthings then they could jump ship.
  14. Telegraph have picked up on it. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/leagues/premierleague/tottenham/3065303/Tottenham-track-Southampton-starlet-Adam-Lallana---Football.html
  15. Has he signed yet?
  16. Comedy of errors in the box.
  17. What was that about Lucy's doughnuts?
  18. Bloody hell
  19. I thought so. Bugger Lallana should have scored.
  20. That well-known Saints fan....Lucy Pinder.
  21. Jake Thompson on. BWP has been ineffective.
  22. Wasn't their captain Howard on our books as a nipper?
  23. Lallana scissor kick. Could have got more luck.
