  1. Theres one born every minute.
  2. Is this new news to you ?
  3. So in short, Michael Wilde is putting his faith in Rupert Lowe to save him losing a fortune on his shares. Would explain his u-turn.
  4. The other thing that doesn't tie in, is the public outbursts from both Crouch and Corbett since the closed door friendly at st Marys. Why would they do that ? unless this was a true rumour that was snubbed by Lowe & co. With Michael Wildes reported financial loss of his Merlon company, it wouldn't make sense for him to let his shares go for peanuts.
  5. I doubt for one minute they would making mileage out of it had Leicester been mid to lower table. I also think they would have known it would have still been a risk keeping him on, but a risk that they considered minimal in comparison. The point is, they were willing to take a chance on him as they had faith that he would steer us out of trouble and they quite rightly can sit and gloat at how good a manager he is turning out to be. So, yes they are justified in their gloating, just as much as someone who might gloat about how good their catering is.
  6. You seem to keep forgetting, Leicester could have scored all three of those sitters and we would have still stayed up.
  7. So he was offered an 18 month contract, but could have it cancelled whenever Crouch or Lowe felt like it ? That is not a contract, otherwise he would have been due compensation. Can you explain what kind of get out clause could possibly have been written in his contract, taken into account that he kept us up ? Doesn't add up. Sounds to me that he was offered the job until the end of the season and would be offered another years contract if he kept us up. Then Lord **** up came back and the rest is history.
  8. Dont forget Norwich are four points ahead, but we have a game in hand. So if Watford win their game in hand, the gap would be 5 points.
  9. I see your thinking and agree. Seems whenever we boo it always backfires.
  10. Jonah, What is your view on Lowes decision to appoint JP as manager/coach ? Do you think promoting Wotte to head coach is the right move after our previous failures to succeed after making an appointment within ?
  11. Do you have a soft spot for broken clubs ?
  12. I did, but there is very little input on his views about the current team set up. I would like to hear his views regards Lowes wrong decision to appoint JP.
  13. Pearson or Adams ? Interesting comparison. Can you see a difference ?One is getting the most out of his OAP players and the other is struggling, even when he had four England Internationals until recently. Maybe Pearson should be the next Pompey manager.
  14. I have regular contact with a number of Pompey fans and told them that appointing within was the biggest mistake they could have made. Believe me, they are playing the blame game. Difference is we have made that same mistake far to often (Crouch included). Lessons aren't being learnt and for that reason alone, someone should be blamed, or do you think differently ?
  15. Thats what we need, a chairman that knows his football and a manager that can manage.
  16. Me too. All winnable games, with the right manager.
  17. I wonder who is advising Pearson now ? Surely he can't be that good on his own ? So do you think this Dutch experiment was worth the risk ?
  18. Difference is that Man Utd and Liverpool wouldn't have made a bid for Surman or Lallana. Its more likely that a mediocre CCC would have approached them. If a Premiership club did approach them and they turned them down out of loyalty, then that gives me more worries, that they don't have a brain cell between them. Now Kelvin Davies would be a better comparison after what happened in the summer transfer window.
  19. Nickh, Are you suggesting that the players have more respect for Wotte ?
  20. Remember the Everton game when we won 3 v 0 at the Dell and the game was like a skating rink ? The Everton manager (was it Colin Lee ?) whinged like mad,yet the physio's never came on once.
  21. Does this mean we are going under ? £6m in debt and growing. No top earners have been released and our most valuable assets are no longer worth much. Get ready for -10 points soon.
  22. Your obsession of Rupert Lowe is getting very worrying.
  23. Very similar to the incident at St Marys against Man Utd, so yes he was right to be consistant and send him off, even though I think on both occassions a yellow would have been enough.
