  1. My guess is a gate of 16000.
  2. That will make way for a more level playing field for those that have prepared themselves for the tough storm ahead. Luv him or hate him, this is where I believe RL will come into his own while all around us clubs will crash and burn.
  3. I wonder if that was Nick.
  4. Interesting point, The mistake has been made twice before. Fans are worried that it could happen again and we will end up with another Burley or Redknapp.
  5. My god, I agree with a skate.
  6. £5 on this site. There is so little decent subject/conversation on here that know one is posting. Even dragging up old managers good or bad has become boring. Perhaps we should allow the Skates on the main board to liven things up a bit.
  7. I recognise the one on the left, her names Scooby.
  8. Same as I was told, he said use an 8 iron and pretend your putting rather than chipping. It worked a treat. His name is Keith aswell, hope your not him cos I'd never admit it otherwise. Saint Stevo: 22 Handicapp
  9. Once upon a time, you would have had 20 reply's within seconds. Now no one takes anything seriously anymore.
  10. LOL. I like your humour.
  11. For saintwarwick and nickh, this will be the last time I post on this thread..hooray. I apologise if my use of the English language was misleading to you, but let me try and clarify what I was trying to say: The fact is Scotland are unlikely to now qualify. Yes I may have said it back to front and shouldn't have used the word fact. But I think its obvious to most what it was supposed to mean. Its just a figure of speech. Now you guys think Burley is doing well and that he did ok with us. Thats fine. We have totally different views on what success is when you are given £7m to spend in a league like ours. I just have higher expectations than you.
  12. Try again...
  13. However, Wilde, who is prevented from discussing certain specifics by PLC rules, believes the cost cutting measures that have been put in place since he and Rupert Lowe returned to the club have put them in a position to ride out the storm – so long as they continue to meet their agreed targets. The certain targets being our overpaid mercenary's ? Be interesting to know how much they would expect to get(if any) as a sell on for them. Or is it our gate targets that he is refering to ?
  14. Walcott was put in by Saggy chops, not your hero. But I think we are getting somewhere Nick. As you have shown above, a good bunch of individuals, just needed someone who could mould them into a team. Many managers in this league would, in my opinion have done a lot better with those players or the £7m to spend.
  15. Which begs the question, what has gone wrong since. I refer you back to the main post.
  16. Unlikely was written in the original post of mine.
  17. Don't start him off again. ;-)
  18. You really are the most annoying poster on this forum. Try reading things as they are intended and stop twisting them. Example: The chance of a horse winning the grand national at odds of 500-1 is unlikely to win. Thats not an opinion. Scotland have a mountain to climb to qualify now. Is that an opinion? Doesn't mean they won't, just unlikely. But feel free to nit pick every word I use, even though its obvious to most how it was intended. As for the team underperforming, how many peoples opinions are that GB is performing well ? 4 points from 3 games is a fact, and the fact is thats not good enough form to qualify. Do you think GB is doing well as Scotland manager ? Do you think he spent £7m wisely at Saints ?
  19. Read the last line again and you have your answer. You are trying to twist it by saying if only he scored. He didn't...fact. Scotland are unlikely to qualify..fact. George Burley picks the team that are underperforming...fact. But hey, why not disguise his incompetence by picking on a player that didn't play. And as you like playing the 'if only' card, ask the Scottish fans what they would say, 'if only' Boyd was the one with that chance.
  20. Watford Home Win Sheffield United Away Swansea Away Win/draw Coventry Home Win Preston Away Bristol City Home Win Wolves Home Reading Away Plymouth Home Win Charlton Away Thats being generous.
  21. Play Stableford, you can then scrub the bad holes. When I play stroke play, all your good work can be undone with 2 bad holes. With stableford, you can still score some good points even with 2 holes without scoring. Before long you will notice your stroke play will start to come down.
  22. Right or wrong Boyd has fallen out with Burley, for what its worth I think Boyd has a point although by walking out he has gone to far. But it is an incident that has happened to Burley, he has upset a player so much that he has refused to play under him again and in doing so has jeopardised his international career. Now I'm sure he didn't take that decision lightly. Players refusing to play for their country because of the manager are few and far between, but the originator of this thread has pointed out the common denominator is George Burley. The fact is Burley has dropped someone who has scored 7 goals in 7 starts for two untried players for such an important game and it backfired. It didn't work, so the blame lays with him, no one else. That is the point being made. He did equally baffling things at Saints. Had Chris Waddle or Stuart Pearce not missed in Englands penalty shoot out, would they have still appeared in Pizza Pan adverts ? Iwelumo did miss and Burley picked him so he takes the flak. No point on speculating on what might have beens, just keep to the facts.
  23. We should try that one week, especially after a Saints defeat, then see how many people post.
  24. Your wasting your time Marco, Nick and Saintwarwick are more interested in twisting the thread about Boyd's mental state and attitude rather than hard facts.
  25. Let him stay I say, we will have more fun giving it the big one back the day their tin pot club goes t i ts up.
