Just checked, it is on, and so is Steve Moran and his cup goal! Best couple of minutes spent on YouTube for ages.
-
I assumed it would be, but you never know, could have been another one. It is on a video, think it's a match of the day one or something, but I have seen it on tape. Maybe someone better than me could put it on YouTube.

Very much this. I hated him as a player and actually wanted to hate him as a pundit. It all turned out wrong as I now think he is one of the best out there and worth listening to. Plus, he doesn't care if it is united he needs to say something about. Something I didn't think he would do.

ok then chaps, thinking caps on. if you could narrow it down, what is your favourite goal ever scored by the saints? it can come for any number of reasons. e.g. won something with that goal, first goal you ever saw live, funniest one seen, favourite players only goal, etc etc etc.

be careful, and this might be a stereotype, but the americans on here don't seem to get our humour!
-
oh, ok then.
-
mmmmmmmmmm............. like this, when can we have it?
-
very little, apart from the patronising attitude of (and i may be stereotyping here) the americans, when it comes to anything other than america. e.g. the oft repeated "world series" featuring american baseball teams e.g. news broadcasts where local news is the state you are in, world news is from other parts of the union, and 'other news' takes in the small minority that is the rest of the world. don't get me wrong, i think it is great that the largest free democracy in the civilised world is taking on board the premier league, and even better that there are now some of those americans that may now choose to support the saints. it even happened the other way around, when in the eighties american football was a big thing over here, i took the 49ers as my team. i went against the grain as most of my friends took up with the chicago bears, but there you go. i've always wanted to go to candlestick park on a matchday.
-
why would you do that? who in their right mind would follow a team using that as abasis of intent?
-
doesn't that sum up the american attitude? you would probably be a quite big fan if you knew they were from england!
-
i've just tried the team picker and got fulham, then sunderland then liverpool. glad i didn't try that when i first picked my team all those years ago!
-
Just been reading an article in a magazine about the American coverage of this years Premier League. Now I know it was posted on here a while back, with the map of New York in teams colours and all, but I was wondering if anyone knows anyone in America who has now taken on the Saints as their team on a random, Pick your team, advertising thing?

this. never met him, but you know when you take a dislike to someone, for no apparent reason...............

[QUOTE=Minty;1779972]Lets put it this way - all of my mates whose footballing opinion I actually respect, think he played really well. The negative comments seem to have come from those with blinkered views. stick to what you know, real knowledge will applaud good football/footballers no matter what! even if that means against your team, or, whisper quietly, by those down the road. if your mates/colleagues/whatevers say something you disagree with, don't ever talk to them again, or better still, get them to post on here and have a full blown pointless argument with some of the brilliantly bizarre forum members.

if you want to play puncheon, can i name a team with le tiss in it? i know it's what you want, but surely it's best to keep to players we have!
-
personally, i don't think you should change a team about if you play home or away. i know this won't happen, but i would like to see it.
-
yes i think it is. clyne and shaw, as has been noticed as much when they are not playing, as when they are, are superb going forward. a bonus that they are good solid defenders. morgan can go forward and score, we have seen him do it, and wanyama has the ability to score goals and create mischief when playing against champions league teams, who without wishing to offend anyone, are better than west ham. yes, these players are good defensively, but omly play that way because they are asked to do so.
-
it is meant to be 3-4-1-2 although now i see why the lines are used to space them out. i think attack at home!
-
i'm a little behind, but when did mugabi sign for us?

am i wrong, but don't the german /spanish/italian leagues have, or did have a policy whereby you had to play a certain amount of home-grown players? if that is the case, why can't we? also, i think there is too much pressure on small kids to be taught how to play football. the best teams in the world (new zealand- rugby, brazil- football, kerry- gaelic football) all have one thing in common. they don't have competitive leagues until the kids reach under 10 or 11. they let them enjoy playing and learning through fun before having someone teach them how they should play, depending on that individuals coaching technique. how many times is it said of good foreign players, he wouldn't have made it if he were english, he's too small/thin/light etc, etc, etc.

Are you really sure that was the best? what about the Ron Davies window.
