  1. 100 days later, Brexit isn't working and business wants it fixed https://edition.cnn.com/2021/04/12/business/brexit-trade-100-days/index.html "But it's been 100 days since the United Kingdom split from its single biggest trading partner and Brexit is proving to be disastrous for many British exporters, which have rejected Johnson's description of the issues as "teething problems" and are now asking the government to take urgent action to prevent further losses." ""The difficulties exporters are facing are not just 'teething problems.' They are structural issues that, if they continue to go unaddressed, could lead to long term, potentially irreversible weakness in the UK export sector," she added." "But a survey of over 1,000 UK business leaders conducted by EY and lobby group London First in late February found that three quarters have experienced disruption to their operating model following the end of the Brexit transition period, and half expect it to continue over the long term." "The fact is, companies trading with the EU did not need to know or understand customs until now. And there isn't enough capacity in the [customs] industry to provide the required support," said Anna Jerzewska, the founder of international trade consultancy Trade & Borders" "Since the referendum, international financial services firms have migrated almost £1.3 trillion ($1.8 trillion) worth of assets and relocated 7,600 jobs from Britain to the European Union, according to data tracked by EY. Amsterdam has already overtaken London as Europe's top share trading center." "The new trading relationship is expected to lead to a long-run loss of output in Britain of around 4% compared to remaining in the European Union, according to the UK Office for Budget Responsibility, which produces economic forecasts for the government. Exports and imports will be around 15% lower in the long run."
  2. Any chance of a refund ?
  3. Isn't that what they are supposed to do every day, already ? We look as if they don't practice defensive drills at all.
  4. We were poor before lockdown last season, but managed to recover things after the restart. This season we started well, pressing with energy, on the front foot, and dominating teams. However, we have now been found out, teams are counter-pressing, and we have fallen apart. We are easy to play against, and the results since the Liverpool win demonstrate this This won't turn around unless Ralph somehow develops a Plan B.
  5. Substitutes 1 McCarthy 5 Stephens 10 Adams 12 Djenepo 19 Minamino 22 Salisu 23 Tella 47 Ferry 64 Jankewitz Other than Macca, Che, and Moussa, there aren't a lot of options.
  6. You are aware that the transfer window is closed ?
  7. 11 defeats in 14, 3 goals or more conceded in a third of our matches. We don't start playing until we are 2 down. A FEW ???????
  8. We manage it.
  9. Plenty of time for a Mane hat trick.
  10. Good news for "Weird" Al Jankewitz.
  11. So, who has played themselves into next weekend's starting 11 ?
  12. Say again, over.
  13. No flair, no passion, no movement, no intelligence, no idea.
  14. Has Ralph been found out, or is this really his level of competence ?
  15. A female Police officer in Minneapolis at a "routine" traffic stop goes to taser the driver, pulls out her gun in error, and shoots him dead. Ooops !
  16. How long have you supported Saints ?
  17. That not being a penalty more than makes up for their "offside" goal.
  18. McManus in trouble over a "stumping" that never was. Might be in line for a ban for unsportsmanlike behaviour.
  19. Waggons
  20. I was driving with the radio commentary on, and a Villa supporter sat on the back seat. ( And Shlong scored 2 as well ).
  21. Don't think he would have had a Sun Life Guaranteed Over 50s plan or a Simplicity Cremation policy.
  22. More from GOOGLE; Born of mixed nationality into a minor European royal family who were exiled in a post WW1 revolution. Evacuated in an orange crate by his cousin's navy and taken to France. From the age of 8 moved to England to live with his Grandmother, then further educated in Germany before returning to England. Wanted to join the RAF but was persuaded by his relative Lord Mountbatten, ( formerly Battenberg ), to join the Royal Navy. During a Royal visit to Dartmouth College he caught the eye of Princess Elizabeth, then aged 13, who was later known to have put his photo on her bedside table. Fought in the RN througout WW2, he renewed his acquaintance with the Princess, married her, and lived a comfortable life of privelege from then on.
  23. If you do you find out this sort of thing; He had 4 sisters, all married Germans. 2 became members of the Nazi party. 3 of his brothers-in-law fought for the nazis in WW2, one was killed in action, another was in the SS, the 4th had died in a plane crash with his wife, Philip's sister, in 1937. Must have been weird for Philip fighting in the Royal Navy, knowing all his closest family were on the other side.
  24. Not only are BBC1 and BBC2 showing the same 'tribute' programming, they've shut down BBC4. Goodness only knows what will happen when Liz kicks the bucket.
