  1. As an IT professional since 1982, I found this advice extremely helpful following the latest Win10 update, which has caused major issues with home networks; 'Microsoft has also offered guidance to those experiencing difficulties. "Some customers using Windows 10 have reported difficulties connecting to the internet," said a spokeswoman for Microsoft. "As a first step, we recommend customers restart their PCs. If this does not resolve the problem, visit our website for further support."'
  2. Don't do that. You're still a 'work in progress', but I haven't given up on you.
  3. https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/vat-zero-rating-of-womens-sanitary-products/vat-zero-rating-of-womens-sanitary-products "The UK is using this opportunity to provide for the reduction of VAT on women’s sanitary products to the zero-rate"
  4. It was agreed that they would be zero rated in March 2016.
  5. Surely you don't need for it to be explained that Spain and Argentina aren't trying to get into the club, they're already in.
  6. http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/britain-wto-schedule-argentina-spain-brexit-latest-a7468766.html "Brexit Britain’s drive for a new World Trade Organisation settlement could be blocked by countries with which the UK has territorial disputes such as Argentina or Spain, experts warned today. The UK will need unanimous agreement from all the WTO’s 160-odd members for its new “schedule” to set baselines for future trade deals." 'Lesley Batchelor, director general of the Institute of Export.......“They know we want to get things sorted out, they know our timescale. That’s the trouble. We are not in a blind negotiating position, or in an even-handed one. We will have to compromise. This idea that any trade deal works with us being in the dominant position went out the window when we stopped using the Army as a sales force for the East India Company."'
  7. That wasn't promised in the referendum.
  8. As far as I can see, at present we are stumbling around in the dark, desperate for ideas, and without a clue as to what Brexit will ultimately look like.
  9. Didn't Mrs May support remaining in the EU ?
  10. Not quite the simile I would use, but it does convey the feeling.
  11. There would still be 23 PL matches to play.
  12. Did we sell Pelle, or did he tell the club he wouldn't play for them any more ?
  13. http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/brexit-senior-conservative-mps-seize-on-a-forgotten-government-pledge-to-let-parliament-decide-the-a7366316.html "....in October 2010, David Cameron’s Government stated exactly the opposite in a little-noticed response to an inquiry by a House of Lords committee. That inquiry concluded that 'because of the sovereignty of Parliament, referendums cannot be legally binding in the UK, and are therefore advisory'”. "“Under the UK’s constitutional arrangements, Parliament must be responsible for deciding whether or not to take action in response to a referendum result.”"
  14. I'm beginning to feel drawn to the 'dark side'. My opinion of the team and manager after Palarse and this evening is starting to develop themes such as "too slow", "toothless", "lacking in ideas", "redmond is not a team player", "where is the 2nd striker ?", "tactically predictable", "uninspiring". Our passing seems to be getting worse, our decision making in clearing out of defence is poor, our goal threat from corners and attacking free kicks is practically non existent. I think I'll take a break from watching Saints for a while, probably until Sunday.
  15. Removed the 2 unnecessary words.
  16. And that completes my card at forum bullsh1t bingo !
  17. What odds on it staying 0-0, because I can't see Saints scoring.

  19. From the BBC ; " Yes - the numbers tonight suggest not very many MPs will actually try to block Brexit, or frustrate the process. They will certainly try to push the government for more details. They will certainly try to amend the proposals that eventually make it to the Commons, whenever that is. That could disrupt and delay things, but trying to stop it happening is not on the agenda of the vast majority. But what's equally clear is that Theresa may does not have a secure majority on the EU. As soon as her plans (eventually) hit the floor of the House, she's likely to have to compromise. That is precisely why the government is fighting so hard just across the road in the Supreme Court to try to avoid MPs having a say before the really hard work in Brussels even begins."

  21. And on the Andrew Marr show she got Farage to concede that the referendum was only advisory.
  22. Don't spoil it for those that want to speculate/grumble/panic unnecessarily.
  23. But he also said he wouldn't resign if the referendum went against him.
  24. Pot meets kettle.
