How many computer simulations had been carried out prior to 9/11 ? They removed over 130,000 tons of rubble and steel from the site in the first 4 weeks after the attack. I think that's probably enough to have broken the glass in your analogy.

Fatuous comparison - the towers didn't crumble to dust, they broke into lumps of solid rubble, notwithstanding the steelwork that was also crashing down.
