  1. I know nothing about cars but have the opportunity to buy a 2003/03 BMW 525 SE Turbo Diesel Automatic with 128,000 miles on the clock. Can any one answer the following questions; 1 Are their many more miles in the engine before it starts to pick up a few niggles? 2 Is it a good car? 3 How much should I pay? 4 Is it economical? 5 Should I buy it?
  2. Awful news.
  3. I remember the results of the 1992 Grand Natiional Results being announced after half time as the players were coming out and some chap shouting out 'Bad Luck Dowie, Bad Luck, maybe next year!' Well I laughed
  4. The Royal Family, a cause celebre for the chippy and those incapable of seeing the economic side effects of tradition and heritage in bringing in tourism. Abolition will not create one job but will cost thousands. Republicanism, flying the flag for the stupid.
  5. I rate Cotterill. He has done a good job considering he took over a club that really had no resources, was up to its neck in court cases and anybody in there right mind as a player would want out or in. I will have a big bet on Pompey relegation if he leaves. In fact I will check prices now.
  6. "I do not need £15,000 a week so why do I want to leave" when Matthew Harding tried to sign him for Chelsea. How many tickets do we owe him? Matthew Le Tissier one of the most influential people in my life.
  7. Signed. If you support the football team you should support the people that work there.
  8. MLT was the greatest.
  9. They can be quite unpalatable for mainstream politics.
  10. It went to an unhealthy different level. Do we need the likes of Campbell and Coulson in the political process?
  11. Yes a paper that backed Labour for 13 years.
  12. No I was talking about responsibility as a society.
  13. I think you are probably spot on.
  14. It is whether there is a willingness to change it. I hope David Davis gets his way.
  15. To compare Ingham with Campbell is very naive. Politics was very different then. Did Ingham get Parkinson to leave his wife as he did with an honourable man like Robin Cook or sex up documents from a students project to go to war? If you cannot recognise the damage done by this new type of politics introduced by Blair then I am frankly surprised?
  16. Responsibility is looking after your old, your health and your vulnerable and yes that is very very expensive.
  17. BTF I am sure that you would not compare the role of Satchi and Saatchi in the eighties and the role of the spin Doctors under Blair and Brown. It was very very unhealthy for politics.
  18. Its been barely a year. Do you understand the legislative process and how long it takes?
  19. Satchi and Satchi sat in cabinet meetings and were part of the inner circle were they. Do you think they were for hire or did Labour ver recruit them?
  20. It will take time to dismantle some of the civil liberty attrocities carried out by Labour but I doubt it. The police enjoy their new powers as do the councils.
  21. Responsibility is an expensive commodity that has to be paid for.
  22. Sorry VFTT but you do not seem to have addressed the comparison between Satchi and Satchi and spin Doctors. Simply opted for a rather condescending 'you are out of my depth' line. So can you see the difference between the role of an advertsing agency and a spin doctor?
  23. Hopefully they will address some of these issues but I am not holding my breath.
  24. They are an advertising agency and did not change the very nature of internal politics. yes Satchi and Satchi were hands on in the Falklands war like Cambell was in Kossovo. They attended cabinet meetings etc etc. Again a rather ill thought out post.
