It might be a bit random but I went to Corfu three years ago and you could see Albania across the water. I imagined that it would have been interesting and a lot better value to stay there for a week. The town is called Sarande....
-
You used to have to go to the Jockey Club and have them 'warned off'
-
"you vill obey orders"
-
To quote one of my first bosses. 'Do it now then its fucking done'.
-
Or as many suspect Steve Gibson did not help shape his opinions....
-
They should have reacted when the offence was identified. You don't let a drunk driver drive home.
-
Quite right. The sanction should have been 3-0 to Boro before a ball had been kicked. We would not have grumbled and would have just got behind the team. Without sounding like a smart arse, I said at the SMS leg that Noro should have been awarded a 1-0 lead and the matter would have been dealt with....

Of course the club is in disgrace but I don't think we should underplay how appallingly the EFL, who one assume should act in the interest of supporters have handled everything. Once the infringement had been identified the semi final should have been suspended until the situation was addressed. The EFL even let us buy tickets, book hotels and organise transport for the final. Many of us thought that they could not throw us out having let it get that far. Somebody at the EFL should be accountable for the shameful way the supporters have been treated.
-
I think those shadowy figures should be made accountable for why the semi final legs were played when an offence had already been made. This caused a considerable amount of upheaval to the supporters. The same people that keep their league going.
-
I am afraid his position is completely untenable. He should already of walked and now that he has not the club should sack him. The EFL panel would have looked at us a lot more favourably if we had acted immediately.
-
If they had had a set punishment to the rule that they had introduced after Leeds then everyone would have known where we stood. Sadly the EFL dragged this on so that we had to watch not only the first leg but also the second. The second particularly rankles.
-
We are surrounded in shame but we should be scrutinising the conduct of others. What does Henry Winter really think? why has his opinion changed so dramatically. Was he put up to it? Is that in the spirit of the game.... Lets take a few of these people with us....
-
I think we had won 4 games in 52 games in September and were still playing in front of full houses. Nobody ever gives us credit for that but if it had been Newcastle of Man City.....
-
Very sadly. My eyebrows were raised though when he told a reporter that he could not talk about it now but would have lots to say about it later. Could he have some revelations for us that indicate that he was not the one pulling the strings?
-
Sean Dyche is one of the few people who could come in and change the mood of the club. If we make another smart arse appointment then we really are doomed.
-
The second leg should have been suspended if there was a chance of us being slung out. Why should the supporters have to pay to see a game that could be invalidated. We were led to believe this was a minor infringement.
-
This is a big issue. I don't care about the booking fee but in the circumstances I am damned if the club is going to benefit after what they have done.
-
The whole point is that it is very easy to say oh it had no impact on the result and of course it probably had no effect. Unfortunately our analyst was caught bang to rights filming their training and breaking the rules. You cannot just say yeah yeah bit it made no difference lets just crack on.
-
Think like a lawyer
-
It is very unlikely to have had an effect on the match in fact it probably fired Boro up but it could have had an effect and we broke the rules and it has to be assumed that it had some impact.
-
O think you underplay the significance of this and how it would have been harnessed.....
-
I think that it would have shaped how we prepared for the game in the days before......
-
What was it Nicky Butt said Fergie would do in Europe after training before a big game. Would always have a couple of key players leaving the training pitch with ice packs on their calfs,,,,
-
Do you think he would have seen that Hayden Hackney was not training?
-
I think spying is a can of worms for the EFL to open. I said at the time to my son that if I was wanting to find out if their striker was fit to play I would have asked one of my players who had some kind of connection with the Boro dressing room to discretely ask the question. I remember going to a talk from Kieran Bracken on the rugby world cup win shortly after the 2003 world cup win and he mentioned that Woodward hired a team of ex SAS to try and crack their line out codes. It was rife even in those days to check rubbish bins for evidence or any way they could to glean information.
