You have to come up with a better argument than tax the private sector more. Tax and red tape are4 the biggest deterent for business and we have them both in abundance.
Now I am not an economist Mikey but I think it works something like this; the private sector pays for the public sector. The Public Sector now employs over 40% of the workforce this is not sustainable so you have to get the private sector more efficient so you can get more people from the public into the 'productive sector'.
In fairness Mikey even if you were studying economics at Cambridge I think Osbourne is better placed to judge. Just because he is a toff does not make him stupid.
Mick and BTF these are truelly awful scenarios to endure. It would be my worst nightmare and I like you would rather the wife made the decision for me. My only concern is if the decision is taken out of the hands of families or if bad advice is given. The worst scenario would be if less caring families opted for the route of convenience. It is a minefield.
You are slagging people off in hypothetical situation. If you do some reserach you will find that the King and Quieen stayed in London during the Blitz.
Yes real insight from Jonnyboy. Superbly put, a true intellectual heavyweight.
Did he care about those Tsunami victims in Japan, or Baby P or Madeleine. Doubt it. What a bastard.

I expect he always envisaged working til he was 90 and having every aspect of his life scrutinised by the media. The concept of duty is redundant among today's career politicians.
