  1. Not at all, his surgeries would be paid for by either his employer or the government, but it is a way of raising additional funds for the NHS through businesse.
  2. Woah, 40 brain surgeries. **** me. Looking at this objectively, let's say each surgery cost the NHS £5k, that's £200k those have costs. Luckily I have not had any health problems as yet, and have only been to the doctors a few times In my life (for which I am grateful), but it does mean you have taken a significant more out of the state than I have, even with the amount I put in. Would situations like this not call for an insurance based system (something that has to be provided within full time employment by employers) and covered by the government for the unemployed? I don't know in all honesty, as having a free NHS is a brilliant thing to have.
  3. Canyon for the hardtail, or maybe Cube (I love my Cube!). Road bike I always like the 'Dales for the cheaper end of the market, but like the Bianchi's when you get above the £1500 level.
  4. 66% both Conservative and Labour... 56% UKIP and 34% Lib Dem And this is why I'm not going to vote this year as nobody serves my values...
  5. Dear God, that's just so ****ing stupid.
  6. Or the people that like to feel that. For me, if you are left wing and have any disposable income at the end of the month that you aren't giving to charity/those less fortunate then you are verging on hypocrisy. Or is it okay to be a bit selfish, just not Tory selfish?
  7. I'm not actually going to vote... The issue is the hyperbolic nature of your posts, it's not that these people don't care, it's more that you believe they don't care as much as Labour etc. What happens if Labour come in, and we get 3 million unemployed out of the back of bad economic policies. Do we then get to say that they obviously don't care about the poor because they've pushed a number of people from having money, to having very little, ready for the Conservatives to (yet again) have to sort out another mess, and be the bad cop to Labours good cop?
  8. The whole Tory ****s thing is getting a little tiresome though. It just seems that narrow minded liberals can only form one opinion for one of our major parties. I don't like Ed Milliband or Balls, but I wouldn't go anywhere near as far to suggest they are actually full on evil, as they're not. Same with the Conservatives.
  9. Actually, and I wouldn't usually defend him, but I heard him on 5live on Monday and he wasn't say it was concious racism, more that due to the lack of succesful black managers subconsciously people feel that black managers aren't very good. He was also saying he would have got longer at Tranmere than the 6 weeks he got if he was white, but conceded he'd still have been sacked pretty soon after as he did a poor job. He also said club owners etc always gave a chance to get a job, but rarely chose the black guy - not because they were racist but because there was a perception that black managers aren't very good - which is pretty true. He was saying the same as if an Indian manager came in. He said they need a couple of Mourinho type black managers to change the perception. Didn't see Life Stories and the way that came across but that was what was said on 5live.
  10. Such a good quote it's worth posting thrice. Great program though.
  11. I'll explain it to you. As it is quite blatant right wing 'news' it generally wouldn't be reported by a left wing paper unless it was seen as news, or a news threat to be argued. The same as if the Telegraph reported on positive Labour stories, it wouldn't happen unless it was big news. That is the point you're not getting.
  12. I did see that, you wrote about this stuff getting trotted out in the Telegraph, not in other news outlets...
  13. If it wasn't news there is no way these outlets would report it, they'd leave it for the right wing press wouldn't they?
  14. Guardian also reporting it... http://www.theguardian.com/politics/live/2015/apr/01/election-2015-100-business-leaders-letter-back-conservatives
  15. They do tend to, the point is its not just a right wing story.
  16. Or the left wing BBC reporting the same thing... http://m.bbc.co.uk/news/election-2015-32141412
  17. Mane score as well did he? Seriously, that kid is something special, will go onto great things
  18. Not having a go, but how many headers has 6 foot 5 Pelle scored with his head for Saints. Delivery not good enough this season I would say.
  19. Is that it? You'd expect at least that in economies of scale...
  20. I thought I put 'just' in there.
  21. Nice guy, awful policies. Of course, these policies aren't just his ideas...But he is the face for them.
  22. Must be the first time Labour turned down doing something due to excessive cost...
  23. So a party pledges to renationalise the railways, not only doesn't but actively sells more public assets, and then you're saying they wouldn't have anyway because their values have changed?
  24. Definitely not. Club over country.
