If we're offered big money then probably not, no. It depends what timescale you're looking at. United were interested last season as well and his agent was well informed of this. However, I do think he is an honourable bloke so there is a good chance he would with a minimum fee inserted.

Done, hope the paper goes well.

Exactly my thoughts.

But our political parties aren't forward thinking enough to do this, and the smaller parties who want to implement these ideas don't, and will not have the support to ever be able to act on them. So what is the realistic solution going forward, or is it a situation where nothing will change ad infinitum?
-
I honestly don't know what the solution is. Higher tax rate should be increased back to 50%, but that won't happen under a Tory government and wouldn't cover what's needed.

When are they going to have laws about driving when suffering with a cold. Far more dangerous than the current drink drive limit. I don't know what the stats are for accidents caused by those around the drink drive limit.
-
The problem is I don't think any other party would have done much different. The economy has improved, there is no denying that, even though it has grown disproportionately throughout the country. That at least gives a better basis to start to look at the social aspects of it all.

Good to see Charlie back with his upbeat board predictions. Death, taxes and Charlie hating the board, isn't it? All this cos they made you and your chum(p) Blackmore look a bit stupid last Summer. Cork won't get a new contract, I wonder if the board have more of a worry about his ankle than previously thought, seems to be recurring. Morgan will be off but that's obvious. Clyne will only go for massive money, and it's easy to replace a RB for 20 odd million. I don't think Jay Rod will ever come back the same - I am of the opinion that we shouldn't risk it, should take £20m if offered and invest it well.

It is still there - it's a Young pub so pretty much a wine bar since they decided to renovate all ther pubs to go gastro. Still good though, and do a decent quiz on a Tuesday.

Broken rail at Walton on Thames on the way back. Going to be a lot of delays based on this.

That makes more sense. Stamp Duty is a ridiculously outdated tax anyway - it would have gone years ago if it weren't for the amount it brings in.

Are we talking IT products or are you just going into contract work?

Well yeah, which is why we've invested in changing the house to make money out of it. Our house was effectively a 2 up, 2 down with an extension on the side of the same size. However, due to the direction of the stairs the first floor extension was not attached to the rest of the house, and there was a separate staircase in the lounge (ground floor of extension) to that room. We have moved the stairs (one set removed, one set moved), converted into 4 bedrooms and put a single story extension on the back for a large kitchen diner. We've ripped everything out of the house including the windows, decked out back, paved the front and are building a 120 foot 6 foot high brick wall around the perimeter, as well as putting in a double drive and double carriage house. We've increases the square footage of the property by 1/3rd. We live in Chertsey, and as such do not live on the Surbiton mainline which Esher, Weybridge and Walton are on. I can't guarantee that house prices have not gone up, but from looking at similar properties I can't see that they've gone up, and i do keep a pretty good eye on things. At the same time it's very difficult to judge as outer house was quite unique in what it offered when we bought it.
-
There has not been an increase of anything like that where I live, but recognise there has been in the Esher, Cobham, Weybridge areas, hence why we left Weybridge. In the 18 months we've owned our house the comparable properties to ours from when we bought it have not changed in the slightest.
-
But why not, it's my hard work and money and changing the house format that has brought about the increase in value.
-
That's the thing, I have worked for it. I have spent the last year and a half working every weekend to improve and convert my house, as well as spending £90k in the process doing it. What you are proposing would end up costing me nearly £100k. How is that fair?
-
And here I am *****ing about being late for work.
-
Sorry to hear that! I think the problem is that people tend to try to live by the advertised arrival times, and they're just not consistent. If they changed them to be 10 minutes longer then a much larger proportion of trains would arrive on time.
-
Agreed.
-
Yes, although considering luck doesn't exist and is therefore not quantifiable, it doesn't overly bother me.
-
Don't worry though everyone, Mark Pritchard has decided it's a good time to go out and rape someone. ****ing bravo Mark you utter *****.
-
God no, thats an awful idea.
