  1. The point was she had consented to his mate, and he was found NOT GUILTY, so she was not too drunk to consent to him. And of course I have not had sex with anyone who was too drunk to consent, which is probably why I am not in prison serving time for rape.
  2. A) I have a daughter. B) I think you are massively misunderstanding the point here. I am not saying he is innocent, not by any means. I was just saying that there have been many situations where people have had sex with someone that is drunk - it is all about when that drunkenness is too much for consent to be given. For instance, she was not too drunk to consent to his mate, hence why he was found not guilty, but she was too drunk to consent to Evans.
  3. So you're saying you've never had sex with a girl who has had the equivalent of 3 pints of Fosters?
  4. Excuse me, are you calling me a rapist? That's a bit out of order don't you think?
  5. They'll be disappointed!
  6. Yet another reply. I would suggest using the link above.
  7. Becoming a little obsessed with me aren't you? It's just one of those things, it's happened to more intelligent people than you. I believe there is a support group available here: http://www.ijustloveuj.co.uk
  8. I think that having the black box certainly facilitates that. Perhaps the reason is what I heard in the Summer then.
  9. Do we know how many are left? Finish work on the 15th for Christmas so can definitely make it up there now.
  10. Well one of the main things they said they used the analysis in the box for was comparing potential signings against current players. I am more than happy for people to disagree, just seems strange that no alternative reasons have been given. However, seeing the calibre of the posters who have swarmed to the thread I shouldn't really be surprised.
  11. It's going to be a very interesting election, but one of apathy. The vote will not be about who they want in power, it'll be more about who the voter doesn't want in power, which is a sad state for politics in this country.
  12. Hmmm, just read the case summation. In my, non-professional legal point of view he's probably not guilty. It's one of those dodgy situations that I guarantee a lot of us know from University. As my mate said to me a month or so ago, it could have happened to any of us...The key is when is a girl too drunk, and when is consent not consent due to inhibiting factors. A few inconsistencies to me: - She had no memory of the night, yet was only 2.5 times over the legal limit for driving, and by the time the morning had come about was completely free of alcohol. However, there was potentially cochineal involved as well. - The fact that she was compus mentus enough to give oral sex, rather than just an unconscious girl having intercourse. - I guess it's a case of was she able to consent once Evans had joined them. Due to her memory loss their is no sure way to work this out. For me, dangerous to convict on this as you have to be 100% sure that she was not in a state to consent. I can see why Ched Evans appealed this and maintains his innocence. Good bit of reading here: https://www.crimeline.info/case/r-v-ched-evans-chedwyn-evans
  13. Is the Black Box the reason we are holding off on giving Cork a new contract? As a player he doesn't have the greatest attributes, but the sum of his attributes makes him a decent player. Is this why he has no contract, because we believe it won't be difficult to bring someone in who is better on the same wages as a new contract would place him on (for example, Jordy Clasie)? Interesting theory, no?
  14. Sell, sell, sell.
  15. Alright Malky...
  16. ****ing hell, cheers for that lovely thought.
  17. I don't think Scholes had even made his debut at 20 had he?
  18. I would say Mane gives us a better option than Lallana as we needed pace, and Lambert wouldn't play hardly at all this season anyway, so I don't see it as much of an upgrade.
  19. I don't think he's an outsider, I reckon he will be in an Englandvsquad before the end of this season.
  20. How good could this kid be? Name-checked by Hodgson to rival Wilshere in Midfield for England, one of the best prospects in FM15 in World football and all this without actually playing THAT well for us, and without knowing his true position or calling. Oh, and he’s only turned 20 a couple of weeks ago. Does anyone think we should be more excited about him than we are? I wonder if we just expect it of him as he has been in and around the first team for the last 3 years. If we can work out his position and get him regularly playing there (probably where Davis is currently playing) we could have a (nother) genuine world class player here. Fingers crossed he comes back soon.
  21. Can't believe United didn't buy him...
  22. I have to disagree with that, I have not seen anything that says to me he is better than those two players. I can't see him scoring 15 goals in the Prem in a season as he doesn't take our penalties. From what I have seen, he just doesn't seem to have the ability. But I would love to see him prove me wrong.
  23. I don't think he is and will ever be a good enough finisher. McGoldrick and Best were excellent finishers at youth level, but these players always find their level eventually.
  24. I am more than happy for him to prove me wrong, I just haven't seen anything to make me thing he's much better than, for instance, Matt Paterson (dons tin hat)... There is a reason we want Harry Kane when they are similar players, it's cos he's not that good. Kane is pretty overrated as well, but that always happens to English players.
  25. 1. Nope, if players are being bought then it tends to mean we're doing something right. 2. Yes, get Man City type investment. 3. No, as we don't play CL ever year, and therefore they don't always get to try themselves out at the highest level. 4. No. Now, some for you: 1. Are you ready to apologise for your embarrassing Summer tirade against the club you purport to support? 2. Are you still bumming Adam Blackmore? 3. Is the fact that we are doing well under a Liebherr/Reed/Krueger triumvirate hurting you deep down? 4. Why don't you just cheer up and enjoy the club doing well? We are not a big club so times like this tend to be few and far apart, and it seems a shame you waste this time by trying to entice reactions from people on a forum.
