It’s funny you say this because Ralph mentions flexibility a lot in his pressers and the need to change shapes/styles during the game to be unpredictable. Of course what he is doing in training hasn’t translated onto the pitch recently.

Villa 0-4 Spurs Spurs scoring 2 more might take away some of the gloss of our humbling today.

It’s been known for a while it’s either feast or famine. Right now we’re being starved. On that note, to change topic - I wonder if Ramadan is affecting Salisu? Is he fasting? Of course it hasn’t impacted Benzema, Kante, Salah, Mane etc etc but not all professional athletes will be the same.

Ralph saying that when a big team loses 2 in a row like that they will come out super-focussed and super aggressive however some people think it makes no difference.

Agreed. Also no red card or U23s or refereeing injustice etc. Really demoralising but we have to move on.

As opposed to the Invincibles Team of 03/04 winning vs the current best team on the South Coast and being full of confidence when we play them? You can turn it into a negative either way. I think what is more key is the fixture date. Arsenal have same length of time in the way of recovery and preparation time with no additional games either side of playing Saints.

It just doesn’t make sense though, surely the ones on the pitch shouldn’t be against him? This is his most picked side other than Broja? I don’t think he has lost the dressing room, the players are woefully limited and then when we do go 2 down really quickly he is tactically woeful at shutting up shop. Then queue Ralph trying to do a random sub to fix things (see Valery for Romeu) and it makes no difference. I get that Chelsea have more money than us, but in a professional sports league this scoreline shouldn’t really happen unless there are mitigating circumstances e.g. major injuries, playing the U23s, red cards, dubious referee decisions etc etc etc What is Ralph’s excuse today?

I reckon Fraser Forster

6-0 fuck off

I don’t think “points dropped from winning positions” will be crossed off today.

5-0

I mean the way we are being carved open is 50% on Ralph and 50% on stupid defensive mistakes, but if Ralph is forcing the players to try and pass the ball out rather than to just hoof it away into danger than it really is on him. I want us to just us to shut up shop now, but my fear is Ralph will naively go at it and we end up losing 7-0 or worse... especially with Chelsea now shooting towards their fans.

Half-time Saints 0-4 Chelsea

None of the front 4 really pressing either, everyone just utterly going through the motions. If Chelsea want to, they can definitely score 7 or more because this is shocking. I can only hope Chelsea turn this into a training ground exercise now and just keep it to 4

4-0 what is going on

I stuck £10 on Werner to score anytime His 2nd PL goal of the season. Guess who his first this season was against… Fucking shite.

3-0, could be 6. Jesus.

I don't mind the Itchen South, but yes that is mainly for the price point. The atmosphere isn't like the Itchen North or the Northam, you won't see grown men giving it the ol' wanker signs and during the game you won't get excessive chanting, other than perhaps before the game during the Saints brass band or if we're on our way to a famous win. Also, the back end of Block 11-13 is where I've seen a few players often get a hospitality box when not in the squad, and also where Sky/BT get a box too if they are televising our game and choose not to be pitch side. Block 31 or whatever it is will continue to be a rip off though.

I don’t know where to start!!! The match thread, the Lampard thread or the new stadium discussion thread?

Me to be totally honest with you. I just hate them so much that lowering my expectations means it will only feel sweeter if it does happen in May.

Burnley 3-2 Everton!!!
