  1. His most successful period was with Universidad de Chile between 2011 and 2012 (just before the Chile job) where he won the league title twice and the Copa Sudamericana. On December 14, 2011 they defeated Liga De Quito from Ecuador 3–0 (4–0 on aggregate) to win the Copa Sudamericana, becoming the third Chilean team to win a South American tournament, behind Colo-Colo's 1991 Copa Libertadores and Universidad Catolica's 1994 Copa Interamericana. In the tournament, the club had an excellent performance (undefeated, and winning all their matches in Chile), and was nicknamed the "South America's FC Barcelona".

  3. Quique Sanchez Flores has never stayed at club very long though, I think we need someone who will want to be here for a long-term project..Of course he might well do that but history suggests he doesn't
  4. It was out in the papers as soon as Martinez had gone so how on earth is that "quietly". He uses the same dirty tactics as Levy...No class.
  5. Jorge Sampaoli I would very much like if he's improved his English to an acceptable standard to manage an professional English football team. His Chile team were outstanding to watch and won the Copa America over the likes of Uruguay Brazil and Argentina
  6. Also Spurs are actually a step up, our players might have wanted to go there but we wouldn't let them! Might change now it's been a couple of years and Wanyama has 1 year left. Be shocked if any of our players would want to join Everton without European football, if they did want to it's for the money and would show them for who they are.
  7. I know it's inevitable but he hasn't actually joined them yet just been granted permission by us to speak to them as compensation package has been agreed
  8. They might be of interest but you're in dream land if you think we'd sell to you after this. There's a reason Poch didn't get any of our players so far and one of them is our refusal to do business with them after they nicked our manager.
  9. Yeah I know
  10. Diego Simeone is 80/1 on Bet Fair but 16/1 on Bet Victor http://www.oddschecker.com/football/football-specials/southampton/next-permanent-manager/bet-history/diego-simeone/today
  11. You're just saying that to make yourself feel better, there's no way you know he knows what he's doing. For starters he hasn't gone for a manager from his own research he's just looked at the league we're in and thought ah Southampton have punched above their weight lets get him! When in fact the better Dutch manager was waiting in the wings all along (Frank De Boer) according to our Dutch saints posters anyway.
  12. He's going to Lazio instead! In all honesty I suspect only a handful of people really know what's going on.
  13. Nope...
  14. We might even hear your fans for once...last game at Goodison and 2014/15 home game couldn't hear a peep from you lot the whole game. Boring s**t fans
  15. Goes against what he said a couple of years ago then "I prefer the Premier League, Bundesliga and La Liga," de Boer told Gazzetta dello Sport. "Italian football is very much in decline." http://www.skysports.com/football/news/12040/9300426/eredivisie-frank-de-boer-open-to-premier-league-move
  16. Translation: Like Charlie Austin we were but they all said no as they're going to saints
  17. Then live in hope that we get 17th place next season?
  18. 0.1/10 http://www.oddschecker.com/football/football-specials/southampton/next-permanent-manager You might have got the wrong forum, you need this one http://www.the-wanderer.co.uk/boards/ http://www.oddschecker.com/football/football-specials/bolton/next-permanent-manager
  19. Is that them or their agents doing the convincing? Sounds like astronomically unrealistic wage demands.... I have now fully convinced myself FDB is the man to take us forward as he should stay with us long term and wants the challenge of improving and growing footballers ("not going to Barcelona as what can you teach Iniesta and Messi"). Also should carry on the good work with Jordy and our key man VVD Pellegini played exciting football but ultimately failed with Citys most expensive squad in the league and is too old for a long term plan Moyes would be a solid steady appointment......to stay in the division but plays dull football at times (would show lack of ambition) Same with AVBs team I watched when he was over here. Without superstar Bale they were negative and dull to watch. Emery too unrealistic, he's won the Europa 3 times on the trot and in the Champions League so he should/would have the pick of the elite if and when he leaves so only huge huge wages will tempt him IMO and his English might be an issue Frank De Boer's the man for us.
  20. Plus if we get De Boer in we can get his daughter down to St Marys...https://www.instagram.com/p/BGRuLuUmlKH/?taken-by=demiideboer
  21. De Boer was at Ajax for 6 years as well when other clubs were surely sniffing around. He would probably buy into a 5 year plan and a 5 year contract. Remember wanting him or Koeman 2 years ago and coming across this http://www.skysports.com/football/news/12040/9300426/eredivisie-frank-de-boer-open-to-premier-league-move What caught my eye from this back then was "I would not go to Barcelona. It is very difficult to be a coach there. What can you teach players like Messi and Iniesta?" So basically he wants to improve players and wants the challenge, seems like a very good fit and realistic candidate IMO.
  22. Voted De Boer as think Emery is unrealistic.
  23. He wanted out last summer so after the season they had that's hardly surprising is it?
  24. 1- Banter ever heard of it? (positive signs, no fruition as of yet ) 2- Villa came 6th 3 seasons in a row? If you aren't happy with that, massively deluded. 3- A fact. (getting desperate I dont really understand?) 4. You do ATM, especially when Lukaku and Stones go, a poor ageing squad with an inconsistent Barkley. 5. Scott Dann to be fair would be a decent signing but again banter ever heard of it? 6. Don't understand but yet again like Spurs you go for our manager we plucked from nowhere after careful research and will continue to improve as we always spot the talent first then the other clubs copy us and we lose/sell on for huge profit. Hope you go down too, The delusion of your fans that I have seen has out weighed that of West Hams which I thought wouldn't be possible. All clubs have cretins that mention disgusting things if you were bright you'd realise that it's people who are even dumber than you saying it We'll have fun on our European tour this season and you can look forward to Hull away
