I don't rate him, like Pelligrini, had the most expensive squad in the league but in this case probably double or treble or maybe even 4x the budget of any other team in the league..Meaning his squad were completely fresh for the champions league but still got knocked out by a fairly average Man City team.. Not the sort of coach we want IMO

http://granadacf.ideal.es/noticias/201606/09/entorno-jorge-sampaoli-aleja-20160609111931.html posted this on the other thread but this says he was on Argentinian radio saying he's keeping his options open and has many possibilities on the table

I like Dyche but think he's probably one of the only loyal/real people left in football like Nigel Adkins and he would stay with Burnley even if we did go for him.

I suggest adding Jorge Sampaoli..Who was "90% to join Granada" for a huge wage...Now reports that Seville want him and he's keeping his options open. http://granadacf.ideal.es/noticias/201606/09/entorno-jorge-sampaoli-aleja-20160609111931.html Translation- Jorge Sampaoli does not close doors to anyone, but this newspaper has learned through their environment, their chances of joining the Granada are far apart. Argentine coach remains focus of market turmoil for the many offers you have on the table. On Thursday, his henchman in Spain, Juanma Lillo, was met with Monchi, athletic director, who wanted to know his availability to play for Sevilla in the event that the departure of Unai Emery to the Paris Saint Germain is consumed. Sampaoli has no agreements with anyone for now does not give by closed their negotiations. Since the proximity of the technician insists that the positions are far apart and that there has been face to face meetings from that meeting that occurred just over 20 days ago, which was not agreed to anything beyond an outlet contact, knowledge of the project and aspirations. Sampaoli attended yesterday his country radio show 'Passion rojinegra', Rosario. In it, he expressed his opinion about Granada and its possible move. "No, it's not real I had a meeting with the people who will manage the club and has not been consolidated at all the same in the coming hours may be given or not. but now there is nothing. you can not assume anything. I have nothing Formally completely. I have many possibilities on the table but maybe in a fortnight'm like, "she contributed. This does not look much delay, but the dance coaches raises uncertainty and little can be taken for granted. Yes, no commitments signed anywhere. Have to wait.

Unai Emery and Quique Sanchez Flores both about to land new jobs so perhaps a new poll with a few more names on? Seeing as we've been told its going to be at least a week or two till we employ a new manager

12 hours ago. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3631889/Quique-Sanchez-Flores-set-land-Sevilla-manager-job-Watford-departure.html Just shows papers have as little clue as we do about the manager merry go round

Agree he was a great manager just that run, playing Pelle too often and the youth players not getting a chance were his only downfalls. He balanced a great defensive organisation with a shed load of goals and gave us some great memories (8-0 v Sunderland, Wins at Arsenal, Spurs, Chelsea and twice at United, 6-1 v Villa loads of great home wins like 4-0 v Arsenal when they were right at the top and the superb run second half of this season). Also got us some great signings when half the team was sold then another 2 key players the summer after whether he had more say than the board or not (I have a feeling for most he had a very big say). But as people have said on here it was a case of sign an extension or go even though sacking him would have been seen as an absolute joke after 2 record premier league points totals and finishes. He rather sign for more money in his wallet and the transfer market so Everton have either saved us the embarrassment of sacking a record breaking manager or poached a very good manager only for us to get an even better or adequate replacement for the next 2 or 3 years If he had not insisted he was staying/seeing out his contract over and over, not using us as a stepping stone like he came out and said shortly after he joined perhaps the feeling wouldn't be so hostile but he's made his bed now he's got to lie in it. Personally I hope he does really badly or alternatively does quite well but leaves after only or less than a year after Barcelona or Arsenal come calling Thanks for the memories Ron but you sir are a liar and snake

He got on the highlight reel a lot with goals but they still went down..I still don't rate him enough to come to us as a replacement for Mane but he's still young so might have him as a squad player.

You forgot blistering pace with all that, that always comes at a premium....

Saints announce Virgin Media as new main club sponsor
Saint IQ replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
the figures might be even closer if it's from 14/15 /15/16...Cortese was ****e on the commercial side Or god forbid we might even over take them in the commercial revenue....Hang on I'm getting ahead of myself here..That can't/won't happen because they is massive! -
And Sampaoli is "90% joining Granada" for 5m euros a year (or over 2 years depending on translation) According to Spanish newspaper As, Sampaoli has reached an agreement with the Granada to train the club for two seasons. He would receive 5 million euros (about R $ 19.7 mi) Vacation in the team. It is worth noting that Granada has a new owner, Chinese Jiang Lizhang, which in addition to restructuring the club should invest a good amount of money on the team. Sampaoli, in turn, would like to assemble a cast with players set for himself, something that must take place in the Spanish team. If Chelsea looked at him and this mega rich Chinese owner is offering him that much I'd be surprised given the type of football he plays that he isn't at the very least on our radar....

On wiki her nicknames are Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God, Virgin Mary, Saint Mary, Mother Mary..So Virgin St Mary's would still fit https://www.google.co.uk/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8#q=virgin+mary -
Try before the first world war. That's what's important!
-
Sell Long in January to reinvest?
-
That's brilliant!
-
Exactly this. The games between us next season are going to be more hostile than any (not including Pompey) since maybe when Hoddle went to Spurs. I'm looking forward to it!
-
“But he said he’d never leave us and then turned his head as soon as he was offered a £4 million a year pay rise…” "Well, quite… and your point is what exactly?" He is a lying c**t and only went for the money as proved from what he said 3 weeks ago before 7m a year was offered not due to Everton being "lords of the English game" I'm going to make a point of never reading this wa**kers articles ever again.
-
Wow, who are you telling this to? I think everyone on this forum knows that so not entirely sure of the point in posting it..?
-
Everton only wanted Koeman except they went for Emery as well until they realised he was out of their reach...Whereas Koeman could be persuaded with more money They're going to enjoy him taking mini breaks to Holland in the middle of a 5 game losing streak....

Where has this quote of FDB come from saying "no" to the question will you manage Southampton?
-
I'd rather he just not speak until a manager is there next to him.
-
FDB has gone from 40/1 to 5/4 since Saturday on Betfair so a fair bit of money has gone on him. http://www.oddschecker.com/football/football-specials/southampton/next-permanent-manager/bet-history/frank-de-boer/today

Is Sampaoli not on our list?
