It is difficult to see us constantly pillaged by other Premier League clubs - I wouldn't mind if he was off to La Liga or Serie A but it just seems that we always do the hard work and due diligence just for some other Prem club to take them away. I don't have an issue with Everton being a bigger club than us, they are sure, they have the history but at the moment they need a lot of work and I do think it is a sideways step when feasibly he could end up at Arsenal or Barca in a year or two. Also does history really count for that much? If so are Preston a 'massive' heritage club? I mean, they're two time league winners, six time league runners up and two time FA cup winners..

Maybe we should change the Topic and move on to something a little more positive, I mean after all nobody has heard anything concrete, not even a Wispa (**Sorry to move away from biscuits....)

Lets be real here - regardless of the legal battles, it would have been Koeman and Paul Mitchell who identified Toby this time last year, as soon as Mitchell went to Spurs he would have had a chat with Poch & Levy saying he is only on loan at Saints lets get him here next season. As much as it pains me to say this, once Spurs showed their interest there was only going to be one outcome here - they are begrudgingly a bigger club and it is London, we just can't compete with that. Everyone is feeling deflated because we were given a false sense of hope that he was going to end up here, if this had never been the case and he just left at the end of the season and then joined Spurs we would just be thinking good luck to him and lets move on, we march on blah blah. Lets move on and not argue on here forever about what went wrong or whatever, life is too short.
